Great. Now I can't even imagine going back to eating Smuckers!
This stuff is really pricey, but oh so good. The variety and quality are second to none.
I can’t imagine a more remote place that is known by so many people. Make the trip and you’ll be happy you did.
You are forbidden to drive past this place. You simply must stop and visit this charming store. The monks make and sell jams from wild berries and also bake wonderful cookies, cakes, and muffins.
A UP tourist trap worth visiting! Offers jams of all varieties of fruits made on site by the monks of the neighboring monastery. Also offer a great selection of fresh-baked goods. While the carrot cake muffins are the most popular, everything is worth a try, especially the chocolate-chocolate chip muffin! As expected, the staff is friendly, helpful, and holy. A pleasant surprise that they accept credit cards as well. No need to find an ATM on the way. Grab a muffin for a picnic at Jacob's Falls next-door or for a snack on a Keewenaw hike!
This is a required stop every time I head up to Copper Harbor. The fresh baked goods are absolutely delicious, and the preserve selection cannot be beat. I highly suggest the fruitcake. I knowfruitcake. I'm not generally a fan either, but their is so perfectly balanced and dense. If you're up in Eagle River, you must make this a stop.
A really unique place that is run by monks. Bakery and jams are well worth the drive. Be prepared to stand outside and wait a while to get your stuff
Everything here tastes great. Prices near the higher end, but everything they make is from scratch and high end products. Their jams, bakery and confectioneries are great tasting. The place is small and have limited hours so check before heading up to the place. Take some time to check out the local scenery of Lake Superior while you are in the area.
The baked good were great, the price are reasonable, the wait is horrific. We stopped by on a Friday afternoon and there were at least 15 people waiting for one cash register. Very cool place but not sure why the wait has to be so long. Be sure to stop early in the day!
Nothing like this place anywhere else. Huge variety of jams and jellies with a mouth-watering selection of fresh bakery. They are a deft hand in an unusual category--fruit cake--including a fruit-studded Jamaican rum cake ironically soaked in Gosling's Bermuda Black Seal Rum. I won't soon forget it.
Great selection of artisanal jams, but I literally can not imagine a jam worth the prices that they charge.
Small secluded, charming little bakery operated by the monks from the nearby monastery. Located right next to Jacobs Falls. Everything is made on site. Best know for the thimbleberry jam, a rare find since thimbleberries grow in very few places in the country.
How could you not love this place? The monks are so kind, and the treats they make are amazing. We got a muffin, cupcake, jam and some caramels. Everything was heavenly (pun intended), and the experience was heartwarming.
Love the jams and jellies. The fruitcake is also tasty. It's closed from late fall thru to spring. Go there every year to stock up.
Awesome jams and awesome baked goods. These monks know what they're doing! They're only open in the "summer" months, however.
