My colleague and stayed at this beautiful home while in Escanaba to conduct diversity training and absolutely loved it. Ms. Pepin was a wonderful host and we liked it so much, we will most certainly return again. Thank you!

I am the owner/operator of the DeGrand House and am most definitely NOT homophobic. I don't know who this person is who posted this comment but welcome ALL people of all races, genders, etc. This is crazy!

Thank you for the hint, Hunter Fix. I believe this post was from my neighbor's minor son that I helped by allowing him and his partner to stay at my house when his father kicked him out. I hope he has found peace and reconciled with his family. Although I am sadden and puzzled by why he would have posted this, I am less concerned with loss of business than I am with the thought that many people may have read this in the last few years and believed that I am homophobic.

The owner/operator of this house is ABSOLUTELY not homophobic in any way, shape, or form. This absolute untrue statement was the result of a minor trying to pull something over on his parents. The owner refused to be complicit so in their anger, they decided to try and hurt her business. One of the many problems with trying to use the internet as a good source for recommendations on anything. You can rest assured your stay here will be great in every way.
