Good food and good drinks, always reliable. I love stopping here on a winter night and enjoying some beer while staying warm.

Excellent beer selection, and the food is great too. It can be very crowded depending on the day and time you visit, so prepare for a wait. They have a really cool secluded little room with a door for small groups that is a wonderfully unique little spot, though it's very difficult to book

Update: After posting the below review and giving Cooper's Tavern 1 star, I was contacted by the manager, Megan. She apologized and mentioned a corrective action plan for her employees (which is definitely a good sign). Furthermore, she was very sincere, professional, respectable, and personable. I could tell she really cared about the satisfaction of her customers and the reputation of her business. Her and I were able to work something out. Because of such a positive interaction with the manager, I have since changed my review to 3 stars (voluntarily of course) and will be returning to Coopers Tavern to give them another chance (thanks to Megan!).

Really bad customer service. I was hosting a cheese curd bar hop and had a large group with me. The hostess told me they were serving cheese curds upstairs, so we waited 45-60 minutes for the upstairs to open since downstairs was very crowded. Once we got up there, we were told they wouldn't and couldn't serve us cheese curds. They wouldn't accommodate us either, even though they could probably have made a couple baskets of cheese curds and walk them upstairs, since they messed up in the first place. But nope! All they said was "oh. sorry". This is the second time I've had a bad experience here. Will NOT be coming back!!response / report this review -

Reluctantly returned after a bad first visit. Service better but the crab cakes breakfast entree was super-spicy and crab cakes under cooked.
I like spice but there was no warning for someone who gets reflux. Didn't finish my entree. Daughters chorizo and eggs dish was even too spicy for her. Coffee was very good. Cheese curds were the star. Thumbs down overall, sorry Meghan. Wish I could say something more positive.response / report this review -

First time for us. Excellent food.the sliders were delicious! Great service and atmosphere. I'll liked the beer selection, my wife enjoyed the jalapeno mule!

I love this place! Their food is really good and you can tell made fresh. Their bartenders are nice and knowledgeable. The first floor is smaller, but they also have an upstairs that's usually open unless there's a private party.

Wonderful food. Love that they post which farms supply their food. Love that is has indoor and outdoor seating. Not a salad peraon, but got one and can't wait to go back and have another. The only down side was our waiter. I think he asked us what drinks we wanted, but after that our food, silverware, and refills on water were done by other people. Hopefully it was just that night, because I'd love to go back.

Great beer selection, staff is always great, good food, and outdoor seating is a nice touch. It can get pretty loud on the busy nights.
I've been to Coopers quite a few times and the food is never bad, but it is also rarely amazing. I remember their food being amazing and it feels like they've started to go down hill lately. Beer cheese pretzels are great, but they keep changing the beer cheese and pretzel recipes (3-4 times in the last 4 years?). Just stick with one. I would go there just for the beer cheese pretzels if they stopped changing the recipes.response / report this review -

Outstanding service and food/beer choices. Every server seemed to know their menu and beer selections. If you have a taste for particular beers come to this place and they'll hook you up.

I don't like the sign on the elevator that says something to the effect that the elevator is only for users of wheelchairs or other walking assistance. I don't use any devices, but my arthritic knees hurt a lot when I walk up those stairs. I'm kind of surprised that you would post such a sign when the upstairs meeting is all lawyers-, such as the Legal Association for Women. Before I make any kind of complaint, I just suggest that you change the sign. I think the one at the Kohl Center is better.

The fish fry, chicken sandwich, and coopers burger are our go to. My fiance and I live nearby and come here about 3x per month and are never disappointed! Great place for a relaxed dinner and or drinks
