Exhibits are very nice, most importantly, and free of charge. The special-featured (paid) exhibit is always interesting. The cafe is a nice place to take a break (although food is pricey) and never have trouble finding parking, or finding neat things in the store. I love the art museum to spend time on the weekends.
I've been to many art museums before, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, Art Institute of Chicago and the Smithsonian American Art Museum and The Cleveland Museum of Art is on par if not better than all of those. The atrium is breathtaking. The premises are well-kept and always clean, the galleries are diverse and certain ones change so there's always something new. They also have a monthly event happening every first Friday of the Month called "MIX" which has a great atmosphere and worth checking out.
Fantastic museum! The kids are a is one of the best I have ever seen in an art museum. We couldn't get the app to work on our phones but it was still very fun without it. The collections and layout of the museum is very good. Beautiful building, nice people to help answer questions, and a good gift shop. We'll worth a is it if your in the area.
Wonderful place! Always inviting atmosphere. Large enough to find your own space. Food options are very nice. Garage parking cost, but is worth it in the winter. The atmosphere is awe inspiring.
This is, without a doubt, the nicest art gallery open to the public. From ancient Hindu statues to modern works of photography and video. The building itself is quite beautiful and the gift shop, while expensive, is very nice. There is a coat check, and this is because you can't take wear coats or carry singular items into the museum. Purses are accepted though. The staff are extremely intelligent and helpful.
Pretty cool art museum. It will take a good part of the day to get through the whole museum. Exhibitions are interesting also.
What a great experience. The museum itself is free. The cost to see exhibits is minimal. It's truly a gem in Cleveland. It rivals museums that I've visited in most major cities. Something to offer for everyone.
I love this place! It was worth the 6 hour drive. It has everything, interactive and the most friendly security guards I ever met. I wish I could give it more then five stars. If you don't spend the day, your gonna lose out.
I absolutely love The Cleveland Museum of Art. It's a place I visit whenever I am in town. The museum's collection is impressive, and there are always new exhibitions, besides having music and film programs. Today I enjoyed immensely the photo exhibition called From Riches to Rags, which features photos of the great depression by famous photographers.
It's amazing that we have this museum available to us in Cleveland. The fact that it's free is even more incredible. I've spent hours walking around in here and still haven't seen everything there is to see. Definitely on par with some of the best in the country.
This must be one of the best museums in the country. The fact that it is free blows my mind every single time I go. It's absolutely fantastic that anyone can just show up and enjoy the art without having to pay anything. I always leave a donation because I'm such a huge supporter. It is a true blessing to have such a high caliber Museum so easily accessible by the public. One of the first places I go every time I return to Cleveland.
Lots of beautiful art and displays! There are often interesting special exhibits as well. Cafe is slightly over-priced but is super tasty and did not disappoint. The museums main exhibits are free. There is a coat check at the lobby and a parking garage next to the museum. The building itself is gorgeous (especially the open courtyard space)! Definitely worth visiting!
How can you not LOVE this place after its extensive renovations (and before!) ? AND ITS FREE.
Beautiful on a sunny day, rainy day, snowy day its an incredible place to soak in the culture and expertise of the masters from far and wide.
The restaurant is incredible, even the quick eatery is good, if a little pricey.
Parking is a bit of a pain, but become a member and you get free parking and tickets to every traveling exhibit and event.
A world class museum.
The fact that the main exhibitions here are free is fantastic. Our first time visiting was memorable. We were so moved by everything we saw. You could easily spend a few hours here looking at all the wonderful pieces. We will definitely be back.
The breadth and depth of the collections here are beyond surprising. I really appreciated the Greek and near East collections, as well as their current photography exhibit. They have tremendous works from all over the world and through all ages. It's truly a blend of anthropology and fine art. Last, the facility is stunning. The center courtyard is breathtaking, and the spaces for the exhibits are superb. This pace is a gem.
