My husband and I arrived there at 6:00 pm on Sunday. It wasn't very crowded at all. The atmosphere is nice; tall ceilings, spacious, and plenty of room between the tables for a private conversation. The decor is also interesting, if you pay attention. The woman who took our order did not smile or seem to be enjoying her job at all and was obviously irritated by our presence. Then she forgot my ice tea. In addition, I found it offensive that the receipt had a place to add a tip, before the food was even cooked. I have always considered a tip to be a "thank you" for kind and courteous service as opposed to a prerequisite.
Our server was just as unsmiling and unprofessional as the cashier. She seemed shocked that we didn't know we were supposed to get our drink from the cashier before we sat down. She was even more inconvenienced when my husband asked for water. She scoffed and pointed to the "self service" water bar. My husband, who was on crutches with a broken foot apologized for his ignorance and waited while his wife got his water. This was turning into a great night out. I love waiting on my kids and my husband so much that I just can't wait to wait on them at the restaurant, too!
I ordered the avocado BLT with fries. The bacon was overcooked and the fries had that telltale taste that says it might be time to change the oil. It should be done every 3,000 miles, or so I hear. My husband got a plain old-fashioned burger, overcooked (burnt) as well. The cole slaw was just big slices of cabbage with a little dressing on it. Not necessarily a crime, just not to his liking.
Overall, not great. We will not be back. Kudos to the busboy who served our food professionally and with genuine interest. While I am glad I did not leave a tip, if I had it would have been given to him. He gave us hope for all humankind.

If there were ten stars I'd give it!! These people are amazing. I trust them with my health! I go to the doctor for diagnosis and then I go to them for medicine! I hope they stay around for ever! The food is delicious as well!

Shopping here for many years and everyone is great! Last few times a couple older ladies at service desk were more into their own conversation then helping customers(1 lady used to be much better, maybe a case of needing to cut back on hours and take partial retirement, not trying to be rdue just honest).
But it is an exception to the 15 years plus I have been shopping there. Great place, great and egar to help younger employees, great food !
Would love to fresh gf bakery products. But love them.

I am thankful for what they have pioneered. Pivotal in my discovery of healthy eating and living products. I'm glad more people have been catching on to what they've been doing for a long time. Thanks to people like them, healthy nutrition is becoming more popular, so if their prices are high you have more places to shop and compare.

Love eating upstairs at the cafe. We always great service by friendly staff. And the best place in Akron for vegetarian and vegan options. My husband isn't vegan, but will order vegan food here because it's that good.

Bought sushi downstairs. Tried to go upstairs and listen to the band and was told I had to eat that food outside.

I came here with my family for the mothers day buffet a couple years back and it was so delicious! The buffet wrapped around the huge hall, there were so many options. Everything was delicious!! It was very expensive but it's all healthy food, no added preservatives or weird chemicals, and you got so full you didn't even need to eat dinner so the price is definitely worth it. We will be coming back for another buffet!

I try to eat healthy as much as possible. The Mustard Seed Market & Cafe allows me to do so deliciously. My favorite area is the deli. Their chicken salad and fresh pita is my go-to lunch.

Special brunches on the weekend and live music at the Cafe enhance the already fantastic experience shopping and dining at the Mustard Seed.

Check your mailbox and their social media accounts for advanced notice on sales in the health department. The staff members are extremely professional and always full of information about the hundreds of vitamins, minerals, and supplements available.

Very nice place. Live music upstairs. Wide range of products. Lots of organic items. Have nice kitchen for salads, etc. A little expensive compared to Trader Joe's.

Mustard seed has a nice selection of fruits and vegetables and a nice bulk bin selection. The cafe tends to be expensive, and be sure to eat in vs carry out. MS tends to use a lot of packaging when you carry out your food, and you get less quantity of food as well.

The food in the cafe is delicious. Quality ingredients do make a difference. Nice atmosphere and the wait staff are sincere, professional, and attentive. I can go on, but in all a quality dining experience.

The fresh gingerale was excellent, food was mediocre, service was poor. If you see your customers are NOT enjoying their meal and they tell you such, and have eatten less than half, usually there is an offer to replace it, or take it off your bill. Also the fire alarm was triggered, and by the time it was turned off, our food was cold. You would think this would also trigger some sort of discount. The other Mustard Seed is WAY better than this onewon't be coming back.
