The Friday-night-only buffet is always an excellent deal; the mashed potatoes are REAL potatoes, the roast beef tenderloin and juicy; the fish and chicken tenders the most tender and tasty you can find outside an expensive big-city eatery. During the week, the homemade bread and apple butter is so scrumptious you could easily stuff yourself on that alone and not realize it. Rumor has it that the well-trained chef there since autumn 2017 had "come back", but whether t4ue or not, the food does seem even tastier than in past years.

Any time we are in the area, we love to stop by for dinner. Everything is so delicious! They have a nice little salad bar, I ordered hot tea and was brought a pot and several choices of Bigelow teabags and artificial sweeteners or sugar. They serve rolls/bread and Apple butter with each meal. There is a nice gift shop room and there is baked goods and such for sale also. Have never stayed in the rooms so I can't say a lot for that, but I would absolutely love to some time. A++

The bedrooms are nice and clean, the restaurant serves great food and the staff are amazingly nice. We had to stop in Grantsville because we got caught in a snow storm and the Casselman was basically our only choice, it turned out to be the best thing we did in that trip. If you're not stopping for the night, at least stop for a meal!

As far as the motel goes it's for sure historic, simple but nice. The restaurant is always amazing and very friendly staff. I have stayed here 3 times and never been disappointed.

Average eatery. Had the buffet (Friday night), and some of the food was dry and not as hot as one would like. Can't complain too much for the price of $11.99. The desserts were good, however. Place is cute, but definitely old fashioned (think 80s or early 90s restaurant). Would try again to see if ordering off the menu is better, especially since place had a decent crowd.

Home cooking just like Mom our Grandma made. I had the pot roast which was very tender. Mashed potatoes and coleslaw were top notch as well. The homemade bread and apple butter are out of this world. I took a jar and loaf home it was so good.

Wow. I have never been to The Casselman Inn before. cant wait to go back. Everything is made from scratch including the bread and apple butter, which you can purchase to go. Just such a quaint place in a beautiful little city. The food is amazing!

The Motor Inn rooms were clean and comfortable, with free cable and free wi-fi. Breakfast in the main building was good and price was affordable. Fresh baked goods too!

Stayed in the motel. Was cute and well priced with strong wifi. Only complaint was the lack of outlets near the bed.

Company paid for the room, and there were no other hotels in the area. Nothing bad to say but nothing wows either. Definitely a Mennonite theme going on. There was a microwave in the room so there's that.

Didn't stay at the hotel, but we stopped here for dinner while driving from the Midwest back home to the DC area. The food was great, and the two of us got out of there under less than $20. Our bill was so surprisingly low that we ended up getting a homemade pie to go, and it was also great! It's definitely worth a stop if you're driving through western MD and need to stop for a meal. Hagerstown is not too far away and has a large selection of chain restaurants, but this place beats most of those options in terms of taste, affordability, and friendliness.
