Attended holiday cookie decorating for frostburg holiday. It was a wonderful experience. I was only saddened by the fact that their museum was being emptied out.

We had a great experience here! This hotel Is clean and beautiful.Rooms are dated, but very clean and the rest of the hotel made it worth it. They are still working on renovation, but if you love stepping back into history it is perfect. Definitely recommend eating there as well. Their food and bar was amazing! The bartender was pleasant and very knowledgeable of the history.

Step back in time 100 years. It is particularly spectacular at Christmas time. Reasonable room rates. No dining room in the facility, but across the street. Parking behind. Has an elevator.

This place is PHENOMENAL! If you like a reminder of the turn of the century (NOT the most recent one) but also clean and really squared away, this place is it! Wonderful original wood, jail in the basement, HUGE amounts of history, REALLY clean rooms AND bathrooms, WOW!

Not just a hotel, it's an adventure! Loved staying in a place that wasn't a typical hotel environment. I was walking through history. Despite the age, the Victorian setting and museum atmosphere was clean, peaceful, quiet and so comfortable. The beds were awesome, I sank and didn't move. The breakfast is more of of courtesy snack to 'hold you over,' but was nice. Beautiful strawberries and muffins, among other items. The staff was friendly, informative, and welcoming! We stayed overnight to settle our son at FSU, but we plan to return just to explore more of Frostburg and Gunter Hotel.

Room was great, Maggie was ultra helpful & friendly. But, we're pretty sure that we were the only people tbere. It will be great when the restaurant is open on Mondays & Tuesdays. The town is stuggling and closes down early.

A lot of history and character. The staff was very friendly. While we were enjoying a couple of craft beers at the bar, we were greeted by the owner (which we didn't realize until about 15 minutes into the conversation). He told us all about the history of the hotel and interesting things to do around the area. If you're spending the night in the area, you can't go wrong here; especially if you enjoy a change of pace from the common hotel. We had a great experience.

Our group stayed here last night as part of a cycling trip through the area. This is an older hotel that looks to be in very nice condition. Our room was very clean, the beds were good, and the staff was very friendly. We had some dirty laundry which wa no problem as we were allowed to use the washing machine and dryer - for free!! Nice looking little restaurant here as well though we didn't have a chance to try it.

The new owners are currently renovating and doing a really great job. This place is really unique and a great place to stay for those who use the bike trail.

Very cool old building. Turned into hotel/apartments/museum/speakeasy.
No frills, but the atmosphere itself was worth the stay.
Do not go here for a romantic getaway, unless you dig ghosts and can have *ahem* "relations" quietly.
