We go there from Parkersburg with our family because the movies are good,the people are nice and the prices cant be beat. Thank.

Almost always are treat to go to this theater. It used to be one screen, but they renovated about 2004 and put in side-by-side theaters downstairs and a single, fairly shallow room upstairs. If you're used to sitting back from the screen, re-evaluate that in all of these 3 theaters because the screens are unconventionally smaller and further away. Sit closer. Popcorn is a deal here, but if you ask for butter don't let them go crazy on it or they might put on so much it leaks onto your pants! Fun place.

This is a great place for catching indie films that don't often make it to the regular cinemas. Ticket prices are cheap and they serve local, organic popcorn at the counter. Highly recommended!

Historic movie theater in downtown (or uptown if you're a local) Athens. Shockingly inexpensive, Shagbark popcorn in the machine, and kept clean. There are typically 2-3, non-blockbuster, movies on the schedule. They also regularly have special features in collaboration with various Ohio University programs (e.g., the sustainability theme). The staff are friendly and often have good tips on upcoming movies. Certainly worth your visit.

Along with their very cheap show tickets, their offerings of movies are also very good. They show varieties of genres from classic to art films to documentaries. Nice for a weeknight relaxation.
