What a pleasure to see a movie at this 20th Century Relic. I'll never know how a place like this stays open but I never want it to close.
A single house theater means they pick and choose their films wisely. If you remember when films were films this is your theater. If you've seen more than two sequels this year stay home n Netflix.
Intimate and enjoyable experience.

Caught the Rocky Horror Picture Show here. It was worth every cent. Thank goodness I bought my tickets early, they sold out 3 shows out of 4.

I don't think there are many other places who will host free Secret Screenings. I also don't think there are many places showing not often seen Star Trek wardrobe and makeup check reels. It's a sweet spot to kick it for the indies.

It's quiet and quaint. They show a really good variety of films. I peraonally love their Late Night throwback films.

This is one of my favorite places in Champaign. They play indie, vintage, and sometimes wide release films. It's a great place to see films you might otherwise miss like Polish horror movies about mermaids. They have pretty good drinks, usually they offer a themed drink. The theater is a small one screen theater. Definitely a gem that should not be missed if you're in Champaign.

This is a great local theater watch indie and retro films. They often work with local organizations to put on films with panels after. They also have beer, wine, and mixed drinks. They have a rotating special mixed drink that goes with the film they're showing. I would recommend checking the times on their facebook because the films here can have limited runs. It's a great one screen theater gem. I always enjoy going to the Art.

This place is awesome and I encourage everyone to support it. I actually prefer going here than to the big chain theaters in town, if I can, to see a movie I want to see. They often show movies that aren't shown at other theaters in town, sometimes they have free screenings, and they are often involved in events that support the local community (because they're a co-op and actually an active part of the C-U community). If you're still unsure if you want to go, another perk is that they serve alcohol here for a reasonable price (unlike the large theaters where drinks are overpriced), so you can get a beer with your popcorn, if you're into that, and not have to pay $10 for it. Plus, sometimes they even have drink and other concession specials to help fundraise for local organizations.

Cute theater. Only shows a few movies but they are usually good. Fairly comfortable seats. Free refills on popcorn and soda.

Tickets and concessions are reasonably priced. The screen is larger than expected. The sound system is also impressive for a local theater. I'd recommend seeing any movie at this theater over the larger chain theaters whenever possible.
