  Very enjoyable ride on a piece of movie history brought back to life. Just don't expect to get anywhere quickly. Two dolphins guided us back from the ocean to the canal, playing off the bow and jumping out of the water in tandem. They apparently enjoyed the boat as much as we did. The 1890's double expansion steam engine is a joy to watch and listen. Burns liquid fuel instead of original wood and coal, so no smoke and cinders. Take the later sunset tour for the best photography. Easy to find. Easy to park (free). Bucket list item for the keys.

  Enjoyed the movie African Queen. What a treat to see the " Queen" in real life. Cool little boat ride out of Key Largo. Worth the price. People at attraction were solid good folk. Enjoyed visiting

  We loved our trip on the African Queen 9/2/2017. The boat looks and acts like one in the movie - in fact it is very near to that boat. It's base is 105 years old and is of course refurbished, but takes us back to the movie scenes.
  Hope the boat and the people we met are ok after Irma swept through the keys. Thanks you so much for our cruse - it is fully recommeded

  If you've seen the movie you GOTTA do this tour. Best to do the dinner tour. You leave the dock around 5. Tour the shoreline until you get to a dockside restaurant. You climb up to your reserved table near the glass bottom bar. Have a great meal. Climb back down to the Queen and putt putt back in the moon shine to your original dock where you are parked. Ahhhhh memories.

  There were only two couples on the dinner cruise. For those of us who love the movie this is an unparalleled delight. I couldn't believe the captain actually let us take a turn at the tiller. It made for a lovely evening.

  We had a great time on the African Queen, as a fan of old movies the whole experience was a real treat. The Captain and his mate were very entertaining and informative guidesthe trivia they have about the boat and the movie add to the uniqueness of this cruise.

  For true fans of the classic John Huston film, this is a disappointing experience. Some kid (who's probably never seen the movie) reading facts about the boat from a 3-ring binder? Come on. Very little of the boat is original but it was still kinda cool to see, I guess. Save your $50 / person and go have a nice meal at Sol by the Sea instead.

  We took the dinner package tour and checking out this boat and actually taking a trip on it was SO cool. They use the steam engine (not the original, but close enough and same technology) and it sounded just like the movie with Bogie and Bacall, just really cool to be on this boat on the water. The dinner trip was great (Pilot House restaurant) except our guide hit some rocks and bottomed out on the way there, which was a bit concerning! We ended up liking the Pilot House so much we stayed there to check out the band and dance instead of going back on the African Queen, which I somewhat regret now. Definitely worth checking out this attraction and the long and windy story behind how it came to be.
