I’ve been coming here for the past three years and the quality of the ribs is getting worst. The meat is really chewy now. The meat before used to fall off the bone and so tender.

BBQ Gem. Awesome food. Great for catering. Fast and fantastic. I’ll get a pulled chicken burrito or pulled pork sandwich w sides. Ive been hunting for the cucumber salad recipe for years!

This place has the best southern style food. The food here rocks! They have a dish called the Oink Cackle and Moo. That is a heart attack on a plate. Then they still give you sides. The cornbread is rockin. You can bring your family to this place no problem.

Ive been going to Tennessee's since it opened over 17 years ago. The meat has always been great! The sides especially cucumber salad and sweet potatoes are my comfort food items. Dont waste time on fountain drinks that never seem to taste right. Buy the bottled sodas. The mac and cheese isnt what it used to be, now being cheese sauce based, but they now have jambalaya which I tried last night and was pretty good. I grew up a few blocks from the Pit Stop in Mattapan which is widely known for having great barbq, and was known to have cars double parked down morton st on Fridays with people trying to get in their, but I honestly prefer Tennessee's food over Pit Stop. My second home is in Boston, but I like taking the ride when I got a taste for something they sell and leave stuffed or use restraint and take stuff homebut I always leave satisfied.

Hands down one of my favorite places for BBQ everything is just sooooo goood the entrees, sides the collard greens being my favorite. The memphis ribs kfall off the bone) are smashing! Absolutely delicious food.

I love their food so much! This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat. Everything is great. Everything. My complaint is two-fold. The dining room needs to be spruced up, i.e. repainted and touched up. And, MY GOD, the bathroom!!!!! What the hell, people?!?! It's like using an interstate gas station rest room in Arkansas.

I've been going here for years and they continue to never disappoint and stay consistent. They Memphis and Texas ribs are both solid choices and they have one of the best selections of family BBQ style sides anywhere.

Do not go there after 8:30. They shut the grill off early and have limited food.
Makes the overall experience terrible.
Why keep restaurant hours till 9 o'clock when they close the grill before 8:30. Will never eat here again once I start moving it back to 930 W shutting it down at eight. Will never eat there again terrible restaurantresponse / report this review -

Nice place, decent price and parking. This was my first visit to Tennessees. I had the Memphis Ribs with smashed potatoes, jambalaya and corn bread. The ribs were awesome. Smashed potatoes were great but the jambalaya did not meet my expectation. Other than that, overall a good experience.
