I recently went toe the 60's special concert on 12/8. The show was excellent and I really enjoyed the sound. I have been going here for many years and despite expensive ticket prices and fund raisers the theatre is really in disrepair It looks dirty, the seats are cramped and have no cushions, and the availability of bathrooms is completely unacceptable. Intermissions last forever waiting for everyone to get to their seats. I am 5'5" and have no room for my legs. Seats are way too tight. This could be a very beautiful theatre but it needs an overhaul. Music gets a 5 but the theatre rates about 1 or 2.

We went to see their production of Rocky Horror which was a lot of fun. They put on a really great show. After the show, however, due to the small size of the woman's restroom, it took a while for those who needed to use it to get through. Meaning it was taking people a while to leave, including those of us waiting for our lady friends.
In the meantime, a couple of the employees in vests were very loudly, and vociferously complaining even getting in patrons faces about how long it was taking to leave. Some of the customers were frustrated because they were simply waiting to use the bathroom. Others were more confused than anything.
The production was a blast, but the employees kind of ruined it for everyone.response / report this review -

Tarrytown Music Hall is a beautiful historical theater in New York State. They offer a variety of shows for those who do not wish to travel downtown. The volunteers and staff are incredibly polite, great venue!

My wife and I are members of Tarrytown Music Hall. Last night we saw Boz Scaggs and very much enjoyed the performance and the venue.

Historical concert venue in the heart of Tarrytown. The majority of their staff are volunteers who I feel like can be a bit bossy with you if they want to be, but not really a problem as long as you show respect to them. They often have big draws come to town and play here. The seats leave a little to be desired, but what do you expect when you're visiting a building that has tried to maintain the same look and feel as it did back in the 1800's? Regardless, the view of the stage is beautiful from wherever you sit in this theater.

Great place to see a live band, dance or comedy show. Get here early in order to get a parking spot at the nearby lot. Lots of great restaurants around as well.

Great theater with superb acoustics. They get great musicians/groups, great children's shows, $5 movies. No matter what your taste you will find a show at the Music Hall. The personnel inside the theater are all volunteers that do their darnedest to make your experience great.

What a great place to see a show. Reminds me of the Fillmore east. Intimate room not a bad seat in the house. A great volunteer staff. Get out and support this venue. Its worth it.

Nice town theater. It shows its age but decently maintained. They feature new and past luminaries and every now and then familiar names such as Michael Bolton and Melissa Etheridge show up on the program. Very good restaurants/bars can be found around the theater as well.

Put this place on your watch list. There's such variety to the artists they bring in you'll find something(s) you'll want to see. Great sound. Fantastic old theater. Downtown Tarrytown is a gem. Go early and eat there - great restaurants and shops. And easier to park
