We've been going here for years and love it. The fish is always very fresh and the service is wonderful. Best sushi restaurant in Tucson.

I should give this place one star because we always overspend (alot) here but to be honest this is the best Sushi I have had in Arizona. It competes reasonably well with Sushi in San Francisco and Seattle. If you go give the quail egg shooters a try. They are quite good. There isn't a bad plate of Sushi in the house. It is cut well and served correctly.

Was really good! I don't recommend going here if your in a hurry, not super slow, but did take a while. Was well worth the wait

Huge place. I was surprised to find a Korean/Japanese restaurant of this size in Arizona.
Food was decent but they don't have very many side dishes (four) compared to other Korean restaurants.
We decided to grill brisket and then marinated ribs. After a while, we started smelling burning plastic and our legs started to get really warm. We looked under the table to see a horrifying sight. A 6-inch long flame was shooting out at the bottom towards us, which was why we were smelling something burning. We could have been badly injured. We notified the staff and we were just moved a table over.
Nothing other than are you okay from what seemed like management(?). We were so panicked and shocked I didn't even think to record/take a picture of the event.

I love their Korean BBQ here. They have a variety of choices of meat, whatever thick or thin cut. I've been always going here with my friends. I receive such great service every time I'm there.

Limited sushi menu, sushi is way way way too salty and just tastes fishy in a non-sushi kind of way. Any time I've dined here I left feeling hungry and disappointing. Avoid this "Tucson Classic". They may have been good at one time, but they no longer are. Their customer service are some of the most annoying, snarky, and condescending staff I've seen in a restaurant. If you don't know every single thing about the place they act like you're stupid. This may have been one of the great Asian restaurants in town but newer competitors have come in with better quality, better customer service, and cheaper prices. How is this place in any way, shape or form superior to Sushi Garden; where All you can eat is less than $30. This place is headed on a trajectory towards the Sun.

IMHO, this is consistently the best all you can eat sushi restaurant in town. They often do special requests that sushi garden has difficulty doing... There is also a wider selection than any other all you can eat place I've been to.

I really enjoy the food selection of this restaurant. I have only had sushi here: the rolls taste fresh and arrive pretty quickly. My favorite part is their happy hour sushi menu. It is a very decent selection and is available Monday through Thursday. I have not tried the Korean barbeque tables, but the food on them smells good. The only reason they are not getting the last star is that the service is spotty. I've had mostly good service, but about one in four or five times I get a random server who doesn't show up or forgets to come back to see if we want more. Overall, though, this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Tucson. Happy hour makes it very affordable for me, and the sushi is delicious!

5 stars can be summed up with 2 words: happy hour!
Ordered a sushi salad and LV roll. I was pleasantly surprised at how much meat was in the salad. I think this might be the first time I've ever felt like I actually got what I paid for when buying a salad at a restaurant.
The LV roll was delicious. There were plenty of different options to try out.
The floors were clean, bathroom was tidy, staff were attentive, and the place had zero fish smell. That's impressive considering how much fish they deal with.
    Best sushi in Tucson.

It was my first time here and I was blown away with how great the food and the service was.
I have to give props to my Sushi Chef Rene, he made me a Viva Las Vegas that was Absolutely Fantastic!! The service was outstanding... I couldn't be happier with my decision to cone into Takamatsu.
You need to stop in when you have a chance, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing sushi! The sushi chef's do a great job but the waitresses leave something to be desired, no drink refills or asking if you need anything else!

Great place with alone interesting menu items. Obviously the in table Korean BBQ is what you should order. Spicy pork and Bulgogi are our favorites right now

Takamatsu peeps, this is unfortunate. We had been eating sushi with you guys since before the fire, but as of today have made the decision not to go back. Your service is the worse we've had - ever, even for your standards. We spent 2 hours and 45 minutes there - NOT because we were eating and enjoying, rather we were either waiting on our server, tracking her down through other servers, or going to the host stand, sushi bar or back by the bar to get some attention and service. I literally walked over 6 times to get either our food to be run to our table from sitting behind the sushi bar, get drinks, sides, orders in, etc. So sad. Food was/is ok, but it is not worth almost 3 hours of my day or how annoyed I feel right now. Good luck and I hope you figure out how to have good service - not excellent, just good would make such a difference.
