Final night was Sunday, Feb 19so sad. Was our favorite special occasion restaurant. Reopening with new concept this spring.
This is my favorite restaurant in the US. yes the entire US, not that I have tried them all, but I really love the combination of great french cusine, New England ingredients and charming and warm hospitality
I was thrilled to finally eat here, however I came away significantly less than thrilled. Grossly disappointed, even. The food was banal at best and poorly conceived at worst. Our lamb was too salty, the cheese pairings strange and the lavender gelato sickly sweet and gooey. The service was pleasant and the wine acceptable, but for what I had hoped and for what I assume they're aiming for, they are tragically wide from the target.
Went for the five course kitchen improv and was blown away. Wine pairings were fantastic too
Outstanding local small restaurant, family run. Friendly staff, helpful with menu suggestions. Very creative menu with specials on set days - for example, on Tuesdays they offer four courses with four paired wines for $59.00. And they don't
Thecompromise on the quality of the food. Excellent overall.
