Words can barely describe my obsession with Sushi Rock.
It's just such solidly good sushi at a non-ridiculous price point. Plus they've really gone all in on the theme, which gives the place an added charm.
I'm a special fan of their happy hours, which feature drink specials as well as a selection of $5 rolls. The yellowtail jalapeno roles have to be my favorite!
Food was great, service was mediocre. We waited almost 30 minutes to get the check, when our server had been at the tables next to us several times. May try again, only because the food was so good.
We went there on Sunday night. Place was a little crowded, which is good. Nice music, great atmosphere. BUT it was super cold inside. I didn’t even take my jacket off. So it was a little uncomfortable. Our waitress was really nice and friendly, but probably new. My wife has gluten allergy and we had hard time trying to find out which of the Sushi’s are gluten free.
Food was really good though. Presentation amazing.
Please fix your HVAC unit, guys 😉
Thanks!
Great service at the bar, it was fairly busy, but the bartender made sure to take care if me! Fish is always fresh and the place is very social, visited on Sunday evening
All of the fish is fresh and tasty. All the dishes were plated well. Lots of space and large windows. The rent's gotta be expensive, though, because things that are usually included when you buy an entree, like soup, salad, and tea, are not included. So in addition to the already high prices, you'll need to pay $3 extra for each of the above, which really adds up. Five stars for quality, three stars for value.
Good deals on happy hour. Have been going here since they opened. Can tell the quality of sushi slowly got worse over time. Service is not very good.
Great specialty rolls with many different types of fish and flavors. Good dumplings and edamame. Nice area outside in nice weather.
I've been to Sushi Rock a number of times. The wait staff is very attentive and always friendly. And the sushiso very, very good. I've been to all of the sushi places in Rosslyn/Courthouse/Clarendonand this is the best, by far.
Generally pretty good food. I've had an order or two that was subpar, but most of the time the sushi is consistently decent. Service is usually okay too. I have only gotten orders to go from Sushi Rock, so I can't speak to the table service. I will say, though, that I've had some very strange interactions with some of the staff, but none that were outright bad.
The food here is very unique and delicious. Try the Pork buns and vegetable tempura. Happy hour drinks are a good deal
Sushi Rock is a good spot for fun drinks, interesting sushi and a relaxed, hip-ish vibe. It's a bit pricy but not over the top. In the spring, the outdoor seating is a great option!
It took me two years to find excellent sushi in the DC area and my search is finally over. Everything I've tried there has been divine.
The cocktails are creative and delicious as well!
The food, atmosphere and staff were great. Our waitress accidentally spilled a lot of water on people in my group. The staff cleaned it up right away and moved us to a new table. They even gave us a nice discount on dinner. That was really wonderful, I'll come back again!!
Love sushi here! Prices are decent, the wine is good, food is fresh. Minus one star for slow-ish service.
We ordered through Amazon Restaurants and the food was delivered on time. The only complaint I have is they put the cold sushi in the same bag as the warm Tempura appetizer so the Tempura was cooler than ideal and the sushi warmer. The flavors of the maki rolls was fantastic, though, and tell were generous with the fish. The Salmon Lovers roll with the mango sauce was particularly delicious.
