My husband went to this salon and it was a HUGE MISTAKE. If negative stars could be given, that's what this place would get. He went for a simple haircut; take the length off the back and make sure his bangs didn't hang down into his eyes. A business man's haircut. Jerome, who started cutting my husband's hair would have to ask his co-worker how to do certain cuts to get the correct shape going. Jerome got stuck so many times that finally my husband asked if Sondra ( not sure if spelling of name is correct) to finish it. The end product turned out not as suspected. My 52 year old husband ended up with a surfer cut; his bangs were long and hanging in his eyes, and the back was all uneven. At least the back was short. The front did not feather to the back correctly whatsoever. If you have never been there, DON'T GO!!! They don't listen to their customers and are too interested in their friends who hang out with them while working. My husband had to go to another salon to have their inadequate work fixed which took my husband's hair shorter than what he wanted, basically to a short military style haircut to fix it. I did give the salon who fixed his hair rave reviews. The people at Style America were not professional. DON'T GO THERE! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Horrible place its never open always closes early! Reporting them to BBB
I had an amazing experience with Celia at style America! I came in with a vision of how my hair wanted to look and she made it a reality. The rates were fair, the salon is clean, and the customer service was incredible. Will definitely be coming back!
Always a wonderful experience going to this salon. Celia is a wonderful, quirky young woman who is doing a fabulous job considering she's the only stylist at this store.
Definitely call ahead to book an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome here but because of the aforementioned short staff it is difficult to get a cut or wash on short notice.
Celia (new emo girl, tattoos, etc) cut my hair. Friendly. Unfortunately, she did not listen to explicit direction as to where I wanted her to blend from, height, guard taper, etc. I now have an extremely bad, uneven haircut. She would get distracted easily. Too much personal information shared. I knew it would end this way when she immediately buzzed up to the top of my head. She practically shaved my head **"Please leave length on the sides from here and down to here [pointing with finger]**. Also, the haircut took way longer than it should have. The only people there were me her, and I assume her friend. Seriously, I've never had my hair cut in the "technique" that she used for blending, tapering, thinning shears. I know that sounds odd, but it was. I don't think she should be cutting hair. The only reason I didn't vent like I should have is that I told myself that I wasn't going to be seeing my wife for three weeks (work) so at least if it was a bad haircut, I'd have nearly a month for the "damage" to repair itself. I'll literally be wearing a hat until then. It was only because I've worked in the service industry that I tipped her-- not for gratuitous reasons of "job well done."
I love them they do an amazing job every time!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst "hair care" place I have ever been to. They seem lazy and unwilling to help customers with anything. Customers are treated as an unfortunate disturbance to these people. I assume it could be a regulars only kind of mentality but it really is awful
