I worked with Chantilly's for my recent August wedding and the women in the shop were friendly, professional, and were not pushy at all. They listened to my wants and needs and were able to pull the perfect dress for my wedding party and my mother of the bride dress. Everyone looked and felt so beautiful on the day of the wedding and that was greatly in part to Chantilly's wonderful staff. I would absolutely recommend this company to ANYONE who is looking to find that perfect dress and who wants a great, worry-free bridal experience.
Maria was fantastic and listened to what I wanted in a dress. She allowed my mother and I to browse the racks. She gave me privacy but lots of help when it came to zipping and clamping the dresses. I tried on seven dresses and narrowed it down to two gowns, and when I decided, she bustled it, allowed my mom and I to take as many photos as we wanted, and was patient and supportive.
Skip the Boston and greater area Boston stores, and head to Chantilly's!
Boy are the reviews right. I went here after a horrible experience at Sposabella Bridal, and was beginning to think that my dress shopping would a bad experience, when I walked in and was greeted with Maria, who is so friendly, that one just has to relax. The dresses come in sizes 4-28, so you can REALLY try them on, which for a plus size bride is hard to find. She listened to what I wanted, and made suggestions within my guidelines. Not pushy at all, she really lets YOU do the shopping, but is never more than a door away when you need her. Best place ever, I will be dong my shopping here without a doubt!
Thank God they don't charge too much for alterations. My wedding was in May and two of the girls dresses were ordered about 3-4 sizes too big, therefore alterations were a little tough, as you can imagine. One of them was still not fitted properly but fortunately it still looked good on her. The jr bridesmaid and flower girl dresses were not pressed, the mother had to press them and one of them came home covered in cat hair. Oh, and one of the dresses that was ordered to big, came home smelling like a big italian sub, she had to hang it outside to air out. They were very nice before ordering, but then I had to call 3 times to make sure they were ordered, and then they didn't show up til two wks before the wedding. I would think twice about dealing with them, only nice to you until you get the money then they don't seem to care too much what problems occur.
I walked into the bridal shop looking for a bridal gown and veil for my own big day. At the end of the session I had chosen what gown I wanted Alfred Angelo 1816 and the veil. They had the dress and veil on hold with deposit for two days while I made my final decision. Since I live quite a distance away I called the shop to see if I could purchase the dress and veil over the phone with a credit card and that I would pay to have the dress and veil shipped to my residence. I have spoken with the general staff at the store several times on top of leaving 2 voicemails and they have informed me that the consultant that I was working with would have to get back to me about the purchase. The consultant, Mary Alice has not return the call inquires on the dress and veil. Do not bother with this shop, if your not going to make your purchase at the "brick and mortar" store it is not worth it. Good luck if you are an out of town Bride (within 20 miles) or a bridesmaid that is an out of towner as well. You will not get any head way with this store. If you think about it, if the store can not return a phone call in a timely fashion that to me speaks volume about the time line on alterations; they probably will not be on time either. I lost my money, they lost this customer, and my bridesmaids. I guess it is better I find out now than later.
