They were extremely professional they went above and beyond to satisfy what I needed done I even dropped my wallet in the parking lot they went out of their way the next day to find it and they did and returned it the work was exceptional
Friendly staff nice facility and pet friendly! Quoted $1000 dollars for repairs, got out for only $650! One of the better freightliner shops out there. In and out pretty quick!
Not in a rush to handle first come first serve. Will be constantly lied too as to estimate of time completion. I suggest you go to any other truck repair shop than Stoops. Very bad experience. 4 days to replace a doser enjection and a few sensors. Very unfriend shop. Lies, lies, and more lies. You can not maximize your time to schedule another load because they lie. Lies, lies, and more lies. AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COST.
Nice people at the parts counter. I called in advance, made sure they had the hood latch I needed, headed over and they had it sitting there waiting on me. There's parking on site for 4 tractors with 53' trailers. One or two hour limit, and it's a bit of a walk to the building, but hey, at least your not on the street risking a ticket while you pick up parts.
I'll give credit where it is due! In my case the entire situation with the semi has been resolved! Money lost is still lost. But I give respect to at least the effort made to communicate with my husband. In the future I hope we can continue to do better with our communication! And accountability was taken!
Thank you- Dashai 5/11/17
lets start with the first I got hung up on three times by a Brian I believe in parts because the phone calls weren't being answered so his solution was to hang up on my THREE times! You sir are a royal jerk!
Second, they "fixed" something but because we had a customized wet kit added and changed something.. I have to these jerks fix it! It they fixed it right!? No sir it was just another excuse! Lastly (I am sure there is more to come!) so we bring this truck back! And the work is paid for we just need it down so we understanding that the parts have been order and it will be rushed! Miscommunication yet again I believe they speak or understand English..perhaps grammar very well because instinct has taught me when dealing with them call constantly and hold their hands through the process! The parts weren't ordered on rush delivery! Put the truck back together to run it Monday and Tuesday on prayers and some blessed oil! And hopefully we can have it fixed again! Now as I would love to bring my review to a close by which I would like to add that, giving one star is too much credit for these clowns! I just found at that they yet again forgot to order another part! 🤣😅😂 I have to insert emojis bc it's unbelievably impossible to understand that do NOT understand that we have to run this truck, fine with waiting on parts understandable it's the lack of communication, the lack of respect, the lack of care! The only reason this facility is as active is because (my understanding so far) that they are the only freightliner dealer/ shop in the tri-state! Next thing I'm doing is calling freightliner HQ and I won't let up even if my attorneys have to be involved! By the way I'm selling this truck to never have to deal with these clowns again, I'm so disappointed in how they just don't care! But lesson learned!
It's hard to deal with a company when there is no accountability. Through all the reviews, communication is the biggest issue. Being told
One thing and it's another! They fail to understand that truck running is crucial. It is income, a life that they take lightly to put on hold! It isn't them that suffers, it's your clients that suffer when they can't make that load or "misunderstand" and now the cost has tripled! All these miscommunications leads me to further believe that they're taking extra money in other situations! Literally stealing it out of our pockets over their miscommunications and our misunderstandings!
Update 091117
We no longer take any trucks to the service department! Everything of ours goes to Clark Diesel..
Moving to my next topic! This is great! Been trying to reach a sales person for over two weeks. Literally voicemails boxes are full, receptionist is of no use.
All I wanted was to purchase the lime green truck, but I need price and mileage along with every other info I need to make a decision. Now from the experience above for the life of me I told my husband don't deal with these people they have no accountability on the service side.. sales can't be too far off. Judging with the voicemails that I've left, numerous attempts, they don't deal with small business owners which is fine. I would rather you just say you don't than me make attempts and waste my time.
Hopefully now my husband will fly to Alabama to Fitzgerald, that way he can have the respect and service any person should have.
People, stoops used to be a good place now you are caught in long waits or unorganized chaos. Either of which ends up in playing phone tags, the receptionist is so rude I would love to punch her in the face! And I no longer have the patience for Stoops. I could never give any business or even good word towards this establishment. It's all been a very disappointing road.
Horrible horrible and nasty employees over here and so rude people, fleet trucks and owner operators plz dont go over there.
They are thinking we are make millions of dollars yr , that way they trying to lie to you. I changed my breaks in my truck two months ago and they told me you need break again
8hrs service parts $680 and labor $2500 plus 250 shop fee , and the fat boy he is working service dep he is stupid and so rude.
Plz dont go over there.
Every costumers they're not happy with those nasty fat tattoo guy.
The mechanics seem to really know what they are doing when they do get to your truck depending on the problem the wait time varies but they get you checked out within 1 to 3 hrs and "properly" diagnosed. A very comfortable lounge which they are building or remodeling a second lounge. Showers, food truck, vending machines, allowed to sleep in your truck at night, 24hrs Monday through Friday open on weekends just close at 1730 The only problem I see with this place is the not being kept updated on your repair if you don't keep checking on your truck every hour when it comes to warranty coverage from previous work it will be missed even with the copies of the previous work performed which I believe this dealer is understaffed when it comes to the paper work and and estimates which is were most of wait time is coming from, however the night crew seemed to have it together a lot better but had to spend a lot of time fixing mistakes from the day side it seems once that kink is worked out this would be a very great experience besides the prices which are pretty high overall but I don't know a dealer that is cheap.
Spent almost 3 hours trying to get someone on phone from parts, they kept picking up phone and hanging back up.
During that time I called Kentucky truck sales in Jeffersonville, In (also freightliner)within a couple minutes I had the part waiting for me in will call.
Curiosity got the best of me and I kept trying Stoops as I was closer.
Another half hour later I got someone on the phone who not only got the wrong part at first but then told me for a 50 dollar part it was 12 dollars more than Kentucky truck sales. He reason was because the different owners.
All this on top of the last couple years I have stopped in for service, once they finished up A.C. I parked out front and woke up 5 hours later sweating my butt off. They had put the wrong part in.
Another time I went in there and was told it would be 2-3 hours, worst case would be early am so I went and got a hotel. The next day they hadn't even looked at the truck, I said I was going somewhere else and was told they couldn't guarantee the truck would run right and if I pulled it out of line it may be days till they can get to it. I ended up staying at hotel for 3 days.
These guys will lie to you, preform very shoddy service and overcharge you!
My fan hub went out and I was pressed for time. I called Stoops and checked to see if they had the hub in stock and they did. So I called service and spoke with Bobby and Larry and they told me they could get me in and fix my truck. 4 hours later I was up and running again. Bobby and Larry went above and beyond to get me up and running again. Kudos to Stoops Freightliner. If I'm ever down in Indianapolis again I will definitely call Stoops. Thanks again.
After working all week you I find out I need parts for one of my 5 units frantically calling closest dealer is 1 hour away from me. Closing in 15 minutes.
Would be great to be able to drive anywhere in the state to a open dealership.
SORRY WE ARE CLOSED!
0n February 10,2017, i stopped by stoops freighliner truck service indianapolis,IN for dd15 rocker box oil leak,1st axle input yoke into differential movement, draglink to pitman arm, and driveshaft carrier bearing misaligned, get quotes price $2864 for engine tear down, few day later, i was contacted with an estimate repair $11264, unnecessary repair,i asked the foreman to give a discount, he changed the estimate to $10608, i authorized them to repair, on february 23 receive a phone call again advising me to replace the clutch, got price quote $709 for new clutch and 400 additional installment kit.On march 3, 2017,they email me final invoice $12608, i review the paperwork, found 3 seperate oilpan gasket by manufacture number $34.34 each, but only 1 required for it ,2 cam frame housing seal $97.97 each, 2 flywheel seal $32 each, 2 seperate high pressure fuel kit,$58 each, mbl delvac over 90 quarts, the dd15 capasiy is 50, pretty much every thing double charge, i email them twice to check and these red flags, they finaly down $600, on march i paid ful amount of $12010.63, i start the truck and walk around while still park in their lot, found air dryer leak rear air bags as well,i rushed back to office to notify what they did,the foreman sent a mechanic to check, he asked me to pull the truck near the shop by the south side bay 3, he immediately run a a forklift with a king pin mounted to lift the truck up to go under the drive axle, suddenly truck fall on the gound so hard which could kill the mechanic, again he stroke the fifth wheel several times and eventually fifthwheel part fail due to performing the work unprofessionally, the mechanic headed to the foreman and told the story, unfortunately he put the responsibility on me to pay the repair but that was their fault once they refuse i ended up to pay $849 on top of $12010.63 paid same day, they claimed that they rebuild the fifthwheel and put some new parts but that is lie after i check only new spring. I advise owner ops be aware these scammers, never accept their advice for unnecessarily repair unless you know already the defact other wise you will regret, anyhow this so disgrace ful to their business, i need my voice heard by the corporate and as well as customers.
Closed on the weekend. Guess I'll be spending my money elsewhere. Must be nice to be in a trucking business where trucks work 24-7 and y'all close the shop up. Horrible.
They looks like good before you give them your truck. Then you will cry at least one week no matter what is wrong with the truck. It is not even one time ever time I go with them. I wish there is much and different dealers in the city!!!
Large repair facility. Did a very poor job of communicating what was happening with the truck. Originally told 4 hours and it ended up being 24 before they touched the unit. Small repair so that didn't take long. Again, communication was the issue. I had to check with them, no updates coming from their end.
