Beautiful atmosphere! Wonderful ammenities! Stonewall Resort is a hidden treasure tucked in the central part of West Virginia. Both times recently that I've been there it's been during the winter months. Looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer and we can enjoy all the outside activities offered. 5 stars!

They have a nice indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs. Nice gym. Woods nearby with hiking trails. Staff are polite.

There is only one restaurant and one bar with essentially the same menu (in the summer, there may be food at the golf building, but it wasn't open when we were there in winter). The bar is noisy and lacking in atmosphere (more like a high school cafeteria than a rustic tavern). The restaurant has a regular menu and buffet. The staff try to shunt you toward the buffet, which is not bad but is around $25 per meal per person. It's very very meat heavy. The staff couldn't get details in our orders correct. The food was passable, but I was a little tired of eating there 3 meals per day. There is nowhere else to eat that is less than 45 miles away, so we felt kind of trapped.

Stonewall Resort is home to the Palmer Course, a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in West Virginia. This tree-lined parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area.

Great visit with the hubs to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary! Staff was very attentive and went above a beyond to make us feel special. The indoor outdoor pool and hot tub was fabulous!! Food was pretty good overall some buffet items were obviously out too long.

Always a wonderful place for dinner! The food and service are excellent, and easily the best to be found in the area. While a bit pricey, the food and atmosphere are certainly worth it!

My aunts wedding was at the Stonewall Resort and it was absolutely beautiful. The view from any of the cabins or buildings overlook a beautiful lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great beautiful and peaceful place to get away or host events.

A high quality resort that is especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves change color. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire pit in the evenings, nicely located facing a beautiful lake. There are 3 restaurants to choose from, a very nice indoor swimming pool, and the staff is great. One of the better places to stay in West Virginia.

The resort was beautiful, but if you wanted to fish out on the lake, you couldn't unless you had a boat. I went with my husband for our honeymoon and we were told that we weren't allowed to fish anywhere on the huge ass dock they had, and that there was no where to fish. So unless you have a boat, you won't be allowed to fish anywhere. The boats they had for rent looked like they wouldn't even hold up out on the water. Was a big waste of our time. Never going back.

This is a beautiful lake resort with the friendliest staff. There are many activities. We did a segway tour and also rented a two person Craig Cat boat. There are other types of boats that can be rented and they also have a beautiful golf course. I would have given it five stars, but I thought that the room rates were on the high side for fairly ordinary hotel rooms.

The issue I had with Stonewall resort wasn't the resort itself but the value/cost. For one night plus dinner, breakfast and a couple drinks by the pool it was nearly $400. We could have stayed at a Marriot or Hilton with nicer rooms also with heated pools/hot tub. Found cheaper/better meals and could have just driven down to Stonewall with a $5 entrance fee and $5 rental fee for kayaks or paddle boards for a couple hundred less.

Like I said, this resort isn't bad but it's not great either and nearly $400 for one day/night of activities was a bit steep value wise.

I feel like they have tried to add as many activists as possible to the resort but after one day my wife and I were pretty bored. I'd have a hard time spending more than a weekend here. At the end of the day, I don't think I'd go back to Stonewall unless it was a free or heavily discounted stay.

The resort is beautiful and the people were so helpful! At check-in Noah followed us in the golf cart to our parking spot and picked us up. He was friendly and talkative. When eating we had the fried green tomatoes (from Stillwater Restaurant) and burgers and fries (from TJ Muskies). The food was fabulous! Ashley was our server who was so attentive. Terry was the Stillwater restaurant manager who seemed to care for her servers like a Mom. She came to our table a couple times to check on us. We felt like part of a family. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I'm going to talk to other members of my family about seriously considering making Stonewall Jackson Resort a destination for the family.

Beautiful location. many outdoor activities. Perfect for a family or couple to relax and spend some time outdoors. Friendly staff and clean rooms, although the hotel needs some updating, it is scheduled to occur soon. I'd highly recommend visiting.
