I was there for a prayer breakfast. The room was very nice, service was excellent and the chef even took time to carve us a beautiful watermelon! The only room fir improvement would be the taste of the food, it lacked seasoning and flavor.

We had to change rooms because most of the outlets didn't have power. The service was really good, they changed our room no questions asked. Our overall stay was pretty good though.

Pros: Very good gym. Nice new televisions in each room. Master bedroom is spacious. Beautiful view of the golf course and lake. Spacious living room. Cons: Bathrooms are not very clean and outdated. The walls in the bathroom have water damage. There are no fans in the bathrooms. Only one parking space per unit. Beds are not comfortable. Lighting in the rooms and master bath are weak. The towels are hard and uncomfortable. Second bedroom is small.

Excellent banquet rooms. The meals were very good. The staff was also very nice as well. I didn't stay overnight but coworkers did and really enjoyed the quality of their rooms as well.

I played 18 holes. Love the course it is absolutely beautiful. Leaves were an issue, however. Tight fairways but very fair.

When I attended WVU this resort was considered to be a really nice facility but unfortunately it hasn't been updated since the 90s. The staff is extremely helpful but unfortunately the facility just doesn't match their professionalism. The mattresses in this facility are the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. The location is great but they desperately need to update the entire property. I do not recommend.

WARNING this resort is out dated. Me and my family were there for a week and we got sick of the resort how unclean and bad the service was, that we left 3 days before checkout. The manager was rude and didn't want to help the situation her name is Christie. We asked if the housekeeping could put new sheets in the bed and she said "No we cannot only if you pay a fee of $40.00'. The utensils were very old and they were plastic, When we first got there we unpacked the things we had and went to go put them in the cabinet when we touched the cabinets it was a sticky substance, it was like GLUE. The plates were a minimum of only 4 people. The patio was very dirty and there was nails sticking out of both patios and when i went to go place my hand on the ledge one of the nails scratched my hand , also the nails were sticking out of the floor of the patio. The front door didn't have a safety lock, inside the stove the grills were all rusted and when we tried to cook in there we had to use aluminum paper. When i called the manager Christie she said i cannot do anything about the situation. The sliding doors didn't even have a lock they used a piece of wood to lock the sliding doors which we had valuables that had to be kept safe and it wasn't to me this is a joke. The only reason why i gave this resort one star is because the washer and dryer were good and the hot water was fine. The couch was very dirty and there was a MOUSE in the room so i had to call in and they bought some mouse traps 2 days later i got the same MOUSE that was in the room, There were ants coming out of the wall and on the stove there was no fan and no light so when i made dinner i had to use my cell phone's flashlight. I WOULD NEVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO NO ONE VERY BAD RESORT.

Lakeview has always meant class. Right on Cheat Lake. Great golfing. Always enjoyed the atmosphere. The resort is getting dated and in need of a facelift but that shouldn't take away from the great experience I had. Loved it.

Our golf group has been taking advantage of the Stay & Play package for the past 3 years. We could not be happier with the overall experience. One price is all inclusive for 3 rounds of golf (on two courses), 2 nights accommodations, 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners of your choice. Dinner at Legends rivals some high end restaurants. Choices include steak, filet mignon, pastas and salmon. Rooms are comfortable, there is an indoor pool and the fitness center is unbelievable! The staff has always been super. From the front desk to the restaurants to housekeeping to the course managers; all are friendly and willing to help in any way possible. They're happy to provided us with a hospitality room where we can get together for a few drinks and play cards in the evening. This was important to us as we come from different parts of the North East for a once a year get together. For the price I don't think you'll find a better deal.

I have been visiting Lakeview Resort annually for about 15 years. I always have a blast. The courses are challenging and the views are breathtaking. Are there resorts with more modern rooms? Yes. Are there resorts with more amenities? Yes. However I have yet to find a resort that meets all our groups' needs like Lakeview Resort does. You will not find a better value, and you will have a great time!!!

We switched to Lakeview from Seven Springs for our company golf outing and holiday party.

It is a pleasure to work with the staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Very accommodating.

The food is tasty and plentiful on the buffet. The waitstaff is great too. We don't do anything elaborate, but the ball room is decorated very nicely and simply.

We liked them well enough that we have had all our functions there for the last two years. We plan on going to Lakeview for all our future events too.
