If there is room enough it is a great place to stay, no showers and can be little noisy. Have yet to explore towards Marion Mountain. Sites over there are self register, cheaper and further from road noise ect

We stayed at stone Creek for two nights and 3 days. The campsite was clean and the camp host was very kind and helpful. There's an easy 1 mile loop right off the camp and then a longer more intense hike also right off the campgrounds. Town is only about 20 minutes away as well. The sites looked nice, privacy seems to vary between sites. We had site 8 and it was great. I'd recommend any site around the outer loop. The inner sites are much closer together with little ground cover In between.

Went here in May with the family. Newest and Cleanest pit toliets I have ever seen, and they have hand sanitizer by the toliets. There are a couple of hikes near by, like the Saw mill, its 3 miles round trip, bring water for those. And a small trail by camp 14, it's around half mile round trip. The camp hosts are nice, they drive around in golf carts, and sell wood. Groups of 8 allowed on each site, some spots you could park a trailer. But, I noticed most spots are only ideal for tents. We had spot 12, and had no problem putting 4 tents on that spot. Lots of room between the other sites on each side of us.

Decent campground with limited amenities. Camp Hosts are friendly and helpful.

Pit toilets. No Showers. Electricity available at almost all sites.

A good mix of tent sites and sites for smaller RV's and Trailers.

Very attractive clean campground with a few hiking trails available from the campsite.

Plenty of trees for shade. Even in July a minimum amount of flying and/or biting insects.

Not crowded even in the middle of July. On two of the four nights we stayed there were only a handful of other camp sites occupied.

If I have any complaints about Stone Creek Campground it's that some of the sites are a little too small and put you a little to close to neighbors. And you are probably only going to encounter a few species of birds and squirrels inside the camp.
