Shame shame shame. During pride weekend me and my husband went to Oscars to see some of his old co-workers. We walked in and said hello.. Bought a bottle of water and decided to head out because it was dead thereas we walk out this huge fat bouncer (will update with a name when I file police report today) tell me I cant walk out with the $2 water I just bought. I politely ask him why and immediate attitude and aggression. As I am asking him why.his scrawny old supervisor comes running over and screams in our face to leave..(which i was trying to do) so we leave .. We get on the corner of the street which is not Oscars property and I turn around and this 400 lb giant is running at me and violently puts me in a chokehold on the streets of Palm Springs. We have video of this and will be filing charges and also considering civil actionI just want people to beware the doormen here are charged and looking for a fight for no reason. My husband used to work here and never was able to cash his last check when he quitthey don't even have money This is one place I wont be sad to see go.what a shameful place in the great city of Palm Springs
Went for dinner on a quiet Monday evening using our groupon. Not sure what to expect as some of the recent reviews were mixed but glad we were not deterred. Michael was our waiter and was very attentive and helpful. The meal was wonderful and servings generous and there were no problems ordering and being served drinks from the bar as stated in some reviews, Would definitely recommend this place.
Oscar's is a great restaurant. We came using a Groupon. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is great because it's right in front of the restaurant and underneath string lights. So it adds a romantic ambiance. However, you can see people walk by if you are seating outside. Their indoor seating is in two parts; one with the bar and the other seating is for their live shows. The bar area is where we sat. They are in the middle of transitioning owners so they do not have a liquor license yet, so we were bummed they we couldn't try any specialty drinks. But their strawberry lemonade was delicious. Their live shows are extra; we wished we knew about it so we can have reserved some seating to watch the show. The food was great. I had the Three Cheese Stuffed Eggplant Parmigiana and my husband had the Rib-Eye French Dip, while our guests had the Rib Eye Steak and the eggplant as well. The eggplant has so much flavor and the sandwich was amazing with their version of au jus sauce. All in all, we look forward to coming back to see a show and trying their brunch menu on a separate day.
Great staff and good atmosphere. The food can use a pick me up. I really enjoyed the live music.
This was our 2nd time and it was great! The ribeye was a bit chafed, well quite a bit. The staff was excellent. Heather was our server and she was delightful! We will be back again!
Ambiance is great. Service is a little slow, and food was eh. But live music was a nice touch.
Love the new Management Team! They are so sweet. Major loves to Dan and Jose . You guys are rockin' it!! Sunday Tea Dance!!!! It's so fun, live DJ! Carnival Cabaret is awesome! Gypsy is hilarious! Miss y'all ;)
Fantastic chef. Great music. Super friendly, kind staff. The eye appeal of their entrees is amazing. Some of you may know I sing there on some Sunday's for the brunch, but I'm not bias. It truly is a supper great place. I also went to see The Cabaret Show in the showroom. Wow, Spectacular.
THE WORST! Terribly rude staff, horrific food, and awful drinks. Stay away!!!
This place is horrible. The bartender who claimed he was the owner that was working in the back bar the night of 11/6/16 didn't even know how to make a simple Long Island. Then we watched the obese bouncer assault a few people later in the night. We won't be going back to this place.
I visit my grandfather every year in Palm Springs. Typically my family chooses to do Pinochios for their breakfast and fun atmosphere. I've always thought the food left more to be desired but it was always a fun place to be. This time it was closed due to off-season. We thankfully found Oscars right across the street. It's in a beautiful courtyard space and has much better food. I think both places are great but give Oscars a try. The food was outstanding and the change of atmosphere was great for relaxing and having a great conversations. I'm glad we found Oscars. It is a great second option to Pinochios.
