Buying the car was no hassle but the clutch went out 700 miles later and the in house repair shop wants more with the warrenty then a mechanic elsewhere with no warranty. If you buy a car make sure your not getting a lemon. Salesmen were the best part of the purchase but the receptionist and costumer service is poor .
I feel as though I was the victim of an attempted "Bait & Switch" with this dealership. I was looking for a very specific SUV for my daughter, and I came across a perfect match online at Steven Mitsubishi. While I do not normally make contact on a car that doesn't have at least one photo, I did in this case because it was too good to pass up. I sent in an inquiry, and Christian called me. We discussed the vehicle, my trade, and even set a date for me to travel 5 hours to buy it. That time is this afternoon. I thought everything was set, but as it turns out, as soon as Steven Mitsubishi realized that I was a serious buyer, mysteriously another customer put a deposit on the SUV I thought I had a deal on! Naturally, Christian was apologetic, but when he suggested that I look at some of the other SUVs at his dealership, it looked to me that they thought I was "hooked." Most people would feel compelled to buy, but since I didn't need to be financed, I was not "hooked." If it was just a mistake, then I label my experience as poor customer service. If it was something more sinister then let future buyers beware!
Let me start off by saying Mitsubishi has one of the best warranties out there. I worked with Christian and he was able to get me the exact vehicle I wanted and more! I was surprised they could add features such as a navigation system and leather seats, as well as a remote car starter. I am overall happy and impressed.
I picked up my 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage and I love it. Its beautiful and comfortable. The treatment I got during the buying process was EXCELLENT. I believe they will continue to be as caring and helpful if anything comes up in the future. I worked with Physha and Jeremy and they were GREAT!! I would highly recommend Steven Mitsubishi but also Physha and Jeremy.
Our salesmen Jayson was great. Was confident on the approval. Let us make sure that the car we chose was what we wanted so let us take it home for the night to salina. Come the next day. I believe the name was kelvin and Owen the managers made the deal swell. And missy in finance. Without any of them I doubt the purchase we made last night wouldn't go more according to plan. Got what we wanted at a reasonable price. And was treated with the right amount of respect for the situation where three other dealers turned us away. Thank you and we are proud to of bought from Steven Mitsubishi
Thank you!
Tim
Nice selection of vehicles. Salespeople were not pushy, just very informative. We worked with Mike Schwind and highly recommend him. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
I was able to help my daughter buy her first car right away but for me, it took me a few days to find the car that was PERFECT for me. The staff was patient and worked with me through it all. It wasn't planned at all but it just so happened that the day I got to pick up my new SUV was on my birthday. Joe Boucher and the entire crew of Mike Steven Mitsubishi went out of their way to make this day even more special. Not only did they give me an awesome deal but as you can see in the pics they actually put a huge bow on the car as a surprise. Then they all gathered around to take a photo with the car. As I was leaving, one of the ladies actually sang me happy birthday. Her voice was so beautiful it almost brought me to tears. Joe made sure to go through ever feature with me to ensure I knew exactly how to use them. I highly recommend visiting this dealership. They have years of experience and they can be trusted. Plus, there is NO ONE that can touch the warranty.10 years/100K Miles Bumper to Bumper.yes, Bumper to Bumper and a LIFETIME Power Train warranty as long as you own the vehicle. I love my Outlander Sport!!!
My employee purchased a car and spent the extra money to buy "gap" insurance to cover her loan in case the car got totaled. Most car dealers use an outside company to insure the "gap" but Steven Motor group insures themselves. So when she wrecked the car, she has to deal with Steven to try to get them to pay her bank the difference between her loan and what the insurance paid for the totaled car- the "gap'. Even though she is paying a fortune for the gap insurance, she is young and was going to give up, because no one would return her calls or help her with her claim (they sure "helped" sell her the gap insurance- she didn't even know she had it or what it was). So as her boss, I took on the cause. I have never gotten a bigger stonewall in my life, and believe me I have dealt with a lot of shady businesses. I filed with the Kansas Insurance commissioner, wrote e mails, and left more messages than I can count. When I get a live person, they tell me they are going to transfer me and then hang up. I finally found that the name of the person who is in charge of these claims is a guy named Greg Anderson. No way he will take any of our calls or return any of the multiple messages we have left. They are stonewalling both of us to see if they can get out of a legitimate claim. Meanwhile, she has to keep paying her gap insurance with her car payment to stay current and have a chance to collect what she is owed. We live four hours away, or we would both be sitting on their curb with signs warning everyone about this dealer. Right now I have my attorney working on it. I will keep you posted if we ever get anyone to return our calls. Don't trust this place, especially for any extra insurance they are trying to sell you. They say that the founder Eddy Steven built the business on honesty and integrity- I wish he were alive to return my calls.
The sales people I dealt with were friendly and a lot of fun. Bought a used vehicle KNOWING it is a used vehicle. I've had a chance to meet and work with Stormi in the service department. She rocks !! Would I would go back? Yes and I look forward to trips there in the future to make good on my 3 free oil changes they gave me as part of my purchase. If I have to have service done on my USED vehicle I look forward going there to get it done. The negative reviews here I get a kick out of. It is a car lot people. Bottom line is Stevens Mitsubishi doors are open because it is a business to make money. If you feel like you have been bait and switched or flat out screwed who's fault is that? There is no requirement to choose this dealership as your place to buy a vehicle. But if you do remember this. Go in knowing that Stevens Mitsubishi owns EVERY one of the vehicles on the lot. None of the sales people are obligated to donate one to you. Oh one last thing. They make one helluva pot of coffee there.
This review only pertains to the service department; I have not dealt with sales side. Dealing with the service department (Stormi) is always a breeze and she goes above and beyond. They accommodate my schedule, provide honest vehicle assessments, charge very fair prices and simply do a good job. I've taken our vehicles to many different service departments and this one has been to date the only one that has consistently taken exceptional care.
Unprofessional and dishonest.
I researched the information on purchasing a brand new lancer and printed out the documents of what I wanted. I felt happy and excited to go order it from Mike Steven Mitsubishi.
Upon entering, the salesman was a simple helpful gentle man. I cant remember his name but he had a beard, glasses, about mid 40s. In the process of negotiating the availability of the vehicle I wanted, it felt dead. The staff keeps to themselves and don't smile. It kills the mood and the environment is short. You can see the stress and worry on their faces. It seems fine but if you look around you'll find them. Also, I heard the manager "lady with long dark hair" speak angrily and said some verbal words that were inappropriate. I was surprised a supervisor of a place like this would even have more self control rather then this.
For the sales man, things were ok but the clarification wasn't 100%. You can tell that their interest is getting things done. Which I understand its a difference but when it comes to others money - there needs to be a little more respect. The salesman I worked with was nice and reasonable. I cent remember his name but he was an old fella. Around 40 years old, Caucasian, glasses and pretty nice fella. However, he was the only pleasant part of the whole experience.
Things quickly went down the drain when I spoke with the finance manager. He is a big guy, Caucasian and pretty interesting. Speaking with him immediately you can see money on his mind but here's the catch. He doesn't really show much details on what he is giving as a deal. He writes everything down. But if you pay attention, the numbers don't match. I kept speaking with him but he was persistent with his role. I started to feel uncomfortable and after a series of negotiations it started to sound like an argument. He wouldn't show me paperwork nor the % he was giving me. It really made me upset. So then I decided to wait and hold up on it. Then all of a sudden he said something I would never forget.
"why do you want to wait now? Your making me do all this freakin paperwork." I felt so offended and disappointed when he told me that. I was so displeased with the situation I felt sick to my stomach. While speaking about finances, he used terms that were rude and pushy. This guy really wanted his money and hard too. What disappointed me was the fact that he told me some information that also misled me as well.
Upon financing the situation he also said "You wont have to make payments until 2-3 months." So I waited from that time and once I started seeing the payments roll it, it said 2-3 months late. I immediately spoke with the bank upon this situation and became upset about the situation. I knew I had payments due and I knew my guy instincts of this guy was sketchy the moment I saw him.
If you pay attention, on their about page, there is no images or details of the staff. Why? They often fire, rehire or rotate so many employees in that dealership its sad.
ONLINE pricing: They wont follow their online prices and will go for a higher sticker price in person. On average, they will jack up their prices from 20-39% of KBB value. If anything, maybe a cheap car but other then that -that is as far as I would go.
The service area is just as dead, they are just straight forward with little or small talk. Even on the phone they sound horrible - no politeness. I even called to get transferred to a few departments and there was no "thank you , or please hold". it was just straight blind transfers.
I know this is a long review but I felt like it was time for someone to speak up. Be weary of this business, keep an eye on the people in, on, and around this dealership. If you start feeling uncomfortable just tell them "excuse me" and walk out. You don't have to argue or dispute all day with them. I hope many find this to be useful. If you want to see for yourself go for it and put everything to the test.
I went in to look at a 2013 Honda Accord after I called Physha. She told me that the car was in like new condition. When I got there, the car had two huge gashes on the dashboard and the tires had 50% tread left on them. The internet price was $18,102. However, When I got to the dealership the sticker price was $19,999. I told the salesman I wasn't interested in the car at that price. He said he would work with us. So we went on a test drive and when we came back to negotiate a price the salesman said their lowest offer was $18,650. That's higher than the internet price and higher than the Kelley Blue Book and NADA price for this vehicle by a couple thousand dollars! Don't waste your time here. Go somewhere else where they won't play games with you.
I recently purchased a new car from these guys and I am very happy with it. Everyone I met along the way was polite and professional. My sales person, Brandon, was very nice and helpful. He was willing to let me try out several different types of cars on the lot before settling on my used Accord. He had a long list of possibilities for me after I spoke with him over the phone about my interests and needs. He did help me whittle it down to just one car.
I also interacted with Anthony, who helped me pass time while waiting for our deal to go through. Missy in finance was direct, courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. And the manager I spoke with, Cameron, kept things light and was pretty funny to boot. It was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had.
As for my car, I got a great deal on a wonderful car from one of the best reviewed years, and I even bought it for under blue book price. I couldn't ask for more. This car is WAY nicer than my old one, with way more features and amenities, as well as low miles, and I feel I managed to get a good price on it.
In January we went to Steven Mitsubishi dealership to look for a new vehicle. We were welcomed by Luke! He pleasantly introduced himself and inquired as to what we were looking for. We told him what our family needed and some of the special things wanted with a car.
I told him that I had seen several of the vehicles online and which ones I wanted to see. He was able to show me all three and give me quite a bit of knowledge about each vehicle.
After getting down to choose between two models of the make of vehicle I liked, I was happy that he was able to answer my questions and gave me some good suggestions.
I liked that he had the knowledge of the vehicles being shown and didn't make me feel pressured to buy a certain one. I am the proud owner of a new vehicle!!
I would definitely recommend you ask for Luke if you go out to Steven Mitsubishi!!
