They have the perfect amount of toppings to give the pizza lots of flavor and it's the perfect balance of crispy and floppy texture.
The only downside is the wait was really long once we ordered to get the pizza. But in the end totally worth the wait!!

We went to the Stella Barra Pizzeria on the last evening of our six week road trip on the West Coast. The service was excellent and the cocktails pizzas were delicious. One of the best meals of the holiday.

Gluten-free crusts and Dairy free cheese! Though tasty, the crust was soggy and crumbly. It had to be eaten rolled up like a taco. The wait time was long and it was very busy even though it was a Thursday evening. The Gluten-free cookie was delicious and ginormous!

A fun pizzeria for food and drinks on main street close to the beach with a friendly staff and customers. A nice selection of beers and wines and very good pizzas. Right next door to the M Street Kitchen cafe, very nice place for breakfast.

We walked up the hill about 4:30 after a day at the beach, leaving our car in beach parking. Had a toddler in tow and they were very accommodating, giving us a table in the back corner at our request, where he could play at the window sill and not bother anyone else. All the pizzas were good except my gluten free, which was burnt around the edges. They offered to make another one but i opted to just eat the non-burnt part in the interest of time. It tasted fine. Still, they comped it. The manager even came over and explained that they were having a little trouble figuring out the gluten-free crust and apologized. I would definitely try it again, given how great the staff was and the easy access from the beach.

This used to be one of my favorite pizza places in Santa Monica, until recently. Back when it was called Stella Rossa, I would say the food in general was slightly better than now, but the food is still great here, so no complaints there.

However, the service seems to have taken a deep plunge. Our servers did not seem to be very interested or truthful. We ended up staying over an hour and a half there, and as they say, time is money. All of our orders came separately, and some of our group had to watch us finish our meals before they even got their pizza. Twice, the server told us that the pizza just got into the oven, only to be brought to us 20 minutes later. 20 minutes for a pizza? I have been to places where it takes less than two minutes to cook a pizza! Fortunately, we received some apologies and some extra food along with it, so I shall give them 3 stars for their effort.

Also, the restaurant is quite busy, especially on weekends, so expect waits.

Good CA style Stella Barra Pizzeria at a fair price. TV to watch the game and outlets if you need to charge your devices while you refuel your brain. Limited beer and wine selection, but they have some and what they have is decent. Pizzeria come in small and large. Small is enough for two unless you are really hungry, in which case get a whole.
