Run around getting prescription refills. Doctors office says to call pharmacy who tells me to call dr. Office.
We switched insurance to Dean this year and began to look for new doctors. So far it has been nothing but frustrating. All the MDs are booked months and months ahead so that you only get to see PAs (Primary care, Gynecology, Dermatology, Pediatrician). I personally prefer to see a doctor and not an assistant. Is Dean understaffed? Had never that kind of problems with other insurances perhaps because I could always go to a different provider (instead of UW Health to Associated Physicians or Meriter etc.) The staff that books appointments does a "hit and miss" job regarding being nice and helpful. Same goes for nurses and urgent care. I thought with Dean Clinics it would be a better experience than with UW Health, but it was not!
My family has been with Dean Clinic since 1978. I have had nothing but praise for the professionals we have dealt with. Recently I have been given exceptional care from my PCP and her support staff and the pharmacy staff.
Doctors were professional and on time for appointment. I felt comfortable and all questions were answered competently.
DO NOT VISIT THEIR URGENT CARE. They advertise themselves as an urgent care facility. I was in Madison on business and woke up with swollen tonsils and a fever. After paying my co-pay and waiting, the doctor tells me it must be a "virus" and there's nothing she can do. A month later I get a bill for 180 dollars for an in patient appointment. I have been on the phone with my insurance and this office for a year trying to get this solved. They refuse to re bill as an urgent care visit. I asked for a review of services, and they came back charging 240! After months of struggle I finally gave up and paid. I've traveled for over a year and NEVER had such problems with an urgent care visit.
I always felt rushed during appointments. I went to two different doctors and I felt like both were really dismissive when I asked questions. They made me feel like I was wasting their time. The rest of the staff was friendly.
Horrible, never going back again! Very rude staff! NEVER see Dr. Palmer. She made me feel very uncomfortable and like my opinion didn't matter. She LIED to me about my medical history and other issues. Her way of thinking was very sick and twisted. This doctor acted VERY unprofessional! Never take your kids to her. I have never been to such a rude doctor before!
