Great people. Very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend
Came with a buddy of mine to check out a car.The people there were very helpful.Kind and curteious.Great place to shop for a used vehicle.
Had been looking for weeks for a Denali in good shape, missed out on a few and had a nightmare of a time with vehicles looking much better in pictures than up close. I drove a lot of miles to look at sub par rides and an ever worse time with dishonest salesmen. I unexpectedly found what I was looking for at Steely. Vehicle had a couple of issues that needed addressed but they gave me a fair price and did what they said they would on the minor repaits. Good group of folks, I would do business with them again any day.
My experience with Steely started off as a pleasant one. Mike was very helpful in getting me decent financing for my circumstances. And that is about where the service ended.
I was dealing with a very close friend's little girl dying at the time which in fact she past away at the time I took delivery of the vehicle. That evening when leaving the check engine light came on and I made a call to Mike. He asked if all the gauges looked good and I said yes. He said don't worry we will take care of it just tend to what you need to as I was handling all the arrangements and fundraising for the final expenses for this little girl.
The next day or so I smelled coolant and called about it. Again, was asked about the gauges, to which I replied all gauges are fine. Well just keep an eye on them until you can get it here. I decided to stop later that evening and check the coolant level even though I didn't see evidence of a leak due to still smelling coolant. Sure enough there was a problem. The radiator cap was defective and the pressure spring was missing not allowing it to maintain the pressure needed therefore allowing coolant to escape. I immediately called, took pictures and texted. I took care of this problem while at the parts store so not to have any additional problems arise. I was assured that the coolant would be cleaned off and out of the engine compartment when I brought it in for a few other little issues as well as the entertainment center & exhaust leak.
I won't go into grave detail other than to say that the smaller things were fixed, however; the larger items have yet to be repaired correctly, or replaced. I have supporting evidence to show that I have been in constant communication with them concerning these issues. I was also told up through last week that these items would be taken care of, (my mechanic was also told this)however; as of today I was told that they were doing nothing and putting out anything in order to get the vehicle operating correctly.
Customer Service is very important. They did everything to get me in to the vehicle and when I asked if I had made a mistake the second day having the vehicle, I was told No that the owner would do what he had to to make it right. I feel like because of an unforeseen circumstance after purchasing the vehicle I have been treated unfairly and maybe even discriminated against. Or perhaps I was strung along thinking that I would eventually go away thinking the sound of the exhaust leak was normal when in fact it is a cracked manifold to which they claim that they fixed the other side. My question is if you knew there was a problem and the vehicle keeps coming back or you keep being notified that the problem still exists would you not check both sides. Or even why wouldn't you check both sides to start with?
I would recommend that if purchasing a vehicle from here you take the vehicle to YOUR mechanic and have him check it out first.
Staff is very friendly. Selection and prices are welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
I went there because they had awesome cars outside. There a small company but they make a big impact with the service And how much there willing to work with you. Best experience I ever had buying a car. Thanks mike and butter bean.
Kelly, Mike, and butterbean are all great! Great place to shop! Bought my f150 and found out the heat didn't work. They got it fixed in no time at all for me. Even though they don't have to because it was an as is vehicle! I strongly recommend Steely Lease!!thanks guys!
Caution! Do yourself a favor and buy an extended warranty if it's offered! My son bought a 5 series BMW from Steely and it has spent more time in the shop than on the road. Of course all of the problems start just outside the 3000 mile warranty, and the reply from the manager is "he should have bought the warranty". I would not be writing this review and would have marked it as just a mistake on the part of a 19 yo kid for buying a high end car from a business operating out of a gas station, if our mechanic had not told us there was a substance in the coolant reservoir that looked like stop leak. Over a matter of months we have been dealing with all of the cooling component having to be replaced and that has been very expensive. Moral of the story, if you can't afford the very expensive extended warranty, then don't buy the car from Steely or probably any other used car dealer!
