I am new to golf. But this place is NOT a golf resort as described. Wanted to find lodging for visiting family that was near golf. Listing inaccurate
Nice reuse of the land. A couple of wet spots, but a good place to play soccer golf. Had a blast.
Nice golfing place with a pretty decent price. Get your own clubs!
You get what you pay for, in a good way! Affordable course, not too far from Atlanta. Easy drive, plenty of parking & a good price for a simple course. I don't play much, so having a course that's around $30 for 18 & a cart is a great deal. Nothing worse than driving an hour to pay $60+ for a course when you're an extremely amateur golfer.
Mostly Par 3's & 4'sextremely hilly, but straight lines from the tee box to the greens. 1 Par 5very little tree coverage with the exception of one hole.
Thanks guys!
Garbage. Absolute garbage. Never again. You cannot even see where the hole is and the course is just garbage. The grounds crew are disrespectful and don't care about the golfers (or the poorly maintained course for that matter). Half of the tee boxes did not even have grass just dirt and one was even AstroTurf, how can you even say that the course is respectable when one of your tee boxes is AstroTurf. Very few signs to show the players where to go. Also it is nearly impossible to distinguish the fairway and rough due to the amount of weeds on this course. Absolutely worst course I have Ever played.
Daughter took a summer camp here. Loved it. Taught her how to play, rules of the course, etc. Incorporated a lot of fun with the instruction.
I played there last week. The greens are in excellent condition and the putts are rolling true. Can't wait to return now that the temps are higher and the bermuda is starting to green up. A very noticeable difference in the condition of the course over the last 12 months.
I live up the street so I will probably be going there alott for CONVENIENCE,.That said,.I don't think I have ever seen a golf course so bad,.I mean it isn't even close,.You would think that Sandy Springs would have a good golf course because of the residents,.WRONG,.They have a decent ball range but the putting and pitching green is just a joke,.The range balls are pretty cheaply priced so I will hit balls there,.but the course is nothing that I would even consider playing on,.Not even trying to be rude
This review is in regards to the driving range. It's a very good facility overall. Sometimes the grass is available to hit off, and for those other days the mats they use are in excellent shape.
I've never written a review in my life (food, hotel, vacation, etc.), but this golf course is a joke. Hands down the worst course I've ever stepped on. I want to be perfectly clear - I don't play fancy courses, but I enjoy a decent round ($40-50/round). Steel canyon looks like it has never been maintained and it was about $30-35/round (not a great bargain). I made it though about 8 holes and left because of how pathetic this course is. Save your money and time - pay an extra $5 and play a nice course in the metro Atlanta area.
Here's how I score it. Price to Fun factor is a 4. Its not a fancy Country Club, it's an executive course. But, you get the driver out and have challenges along the way. Lots of ups and downs, slanted greens with drop offs etc. Several blind tee shots make it interesting as well. Not a bunch of trees in the way, mostly open. (They have a range) Give it a go! Enjoy the methane
