  This apartment complex is complete trash. The apartments are overpriced and old. My "updated apartment" was poorly renovated, with cheap appliances and features and poor lighting. Not to mention the bugs that hid under crevices of the floor molding. Hot water was terrible. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything.
  
  The management is rude and incompetent. Maintenance request were often ignored. We were charged on the first offense for a "valet trash violation", because I'm sure there's nothing else of importance that they could be focusing on.
  
  Things are always broken. There were multiple nights I couldn't get into my apartment because none of the gates were working. Not to mention the random power outages that only affected this apartment complex. Of the four apartment complexes that I've lived in, this was by far the worst experience. There are cheaper and better options in Durham. Avoid this place like the plague.

  Amazing two years here. Management and maintenance were fantastic. A little loud near the pool area, but perfect for graduate students!

  The building is structurally unsound. The windows are of extremely poor quality. There is little sound proofing between apartments. The bath tubs do not drain properly, instead a pool of water continuously sits in the middle of the tub. The apartments flood easily when it rains hards. The company invests a lot in making the exterior look nice, but the apartments themselves are of the poorest quality. This place is definitely not worth the high rent.

  GOOD PLACE TO PARTY FOR STUDENTS, NOT SO GOOD FOR OTHER ADULTS. Unfamiliar with the area, we wish someone would have told us that the building was geared to students. All we were told was that tenants had to be over 22. The agent said he/she could not tell us more because of Fair Housing laws. Location is great. Service requests are handled promptly and efficiently. The Service employees are very nice and helpful. Some of the office staff are very helpful and responsive. Our neighbors were fine when we first moved in last January. The new people who moved in during May/June are less desirable. Garbage in the parking lot, elevators and more grocery carts from Harris Teeter in the building are becoming more frequent, although management has tried to address these issues. Biggest problem is NOISE. This past weekend, management had its annual pool party. The hired DJ's music was so loud, we could hear it through the closed doors of our bathroom (yes, our apartment does face the pool). Finally around 8pm. the pool cleared out, but loud music continued. When we called security, we pointed out no one was in the pool and that the loud music was coming from an apartment. They finally stopped it. Normally security is not available until 11pm. Management had made arrangements for security to come in earlier because of the party. This building is primarily for students who like to party as the ambience and music of the pool party confirmed.

  I lived here for 3 months from December till May and LOVED it. The staff are super friendly, chill, and professional. Our apartment had a west side facing view and every afternoon the sun would light-up our apt. Our street was quiet and our neighbors were awesome. Young professionals live here. Mind you, there were also some nights when it was FUN. Overall, would definitely live here again.
  Pros: walking distance to 9th street. Amazing basketball court. Pleasant staff. Privacy. Big parking garage where you park for FREE. Security was on it. LOVED it here.
