Just moved into another apartment and there was so much stuff going on that I almost wasn't able to move in but Rosa Valencia, assistant manaager, and the maintenance men went above and beyond their calls of duty to make sure my boyfriend and I could move in. I've lived here for a year and the guys are pretty quick about getting things done.

One of the worst apartments in Athens. Apartments are old and filthy. Roaches and rats roam freely. Since the new company has taken over the community, the prices have sky rocketed. Community gate are left open for months. Swimming pool is filthy.Beer bottles EVERYWHERE. Dog poop is all over the place. Work orders never get completed and you are charged for everything. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS POSTED BY THE OFFICE STAFF. Save yourself, do not move in. It's a trap.

We've lived here for two and a half years (since it was Spring Lake), and have enjoyed the community. Biggest complaint since the new company has taken over the community is that we can no longer easily access our home. My fiance's gate clicker stopped working, and a new one was supposedly ordered. We have not received it, and he cannot get into the community once the gates are closed at 6pm which is a problem when he does not get home till 6:30. New residents are often locked out by the gates because they do not have remotes to the gate either. The gates were being left open for this reason for months, and suddenly they are now closed every evening leaving people with no way to get to their homes. It's gotten ridiculous that this problem has not been resolved but renovations have been completed. We just want to get to our homes; we don't really care about upgrades to the pool.

My wife and I have lived at 1287 Shoals for a year and we love it! The neighborhood is quiet and our neighbors are nice. If we have maintenance needs they are fixed within a few days. Awesome place to live. We have a nice pool and the neighborhood is a beautiful place to take evening walks.

Needs a lot of updating. But that is being done. Work orders have been accomplished promptly. There are better places to live, there are worse.

This is a really nice place! The grounds are very well kept and the lake is beautiful! The leasing folks in the office are just wonderful and they always do their best to help. The apartments themselves are nice and spacious. Its a nice safe place here.
