Luv this place in Santa Cruz! They have a great selection of products. The service staff is very helpful and pleasant. Service can be sometimes slow.
The outdoor cafe seating area is always pleasant and clean. There is plenty of seating.
Convenient location near freeway and public transportation. Not much parking, plenty of bike racks.

I love staff if life. There us always someone available to help. Vitamins, meats, and wonderful nourishing cooked foods as well. Let's not forget the bakery and deli too.

Friendly, and helpful are the staff at Staff of Life!

There is a good vibe, and there is all the good food one can conceive of, even meat for those believing it necessary, or desirable.

With such a well-established and quality market in Santa Cruz, no co-op food stores have been needed, or possible in Santa Cruz.

I regularly come here to eat from the hot bar. They have lots of vegitarian options. They have a nice outdoor area to eat with heaters overhead. It's a great place to go have lunch with a friend.

This is by far my favorite health food store. Nice staff and plenty of fun things to eat. Try out there in-house breads. They are great Baker's!

Their bakery makes the VERY BEST Gluten-free sandwich bread I've tried anywhere!
They bake pastries for the bakery case & a few are G/F or Vegan.

*Option: Loaf slicing by machine is offered at deli counter.

Great selection of fresh organic meats, fruits, vegetables & live plants. Plus any & all other health food supplies.

They offer self-serve buffet style meals, a deli, coffee barista & tables to sit, eat & visit outside.

If you can't find it just ask.

Fresh, as organic as possible, groceries. Also, two excellent food bars. One for the best salad you could assemble, and the other for an excellent hot food plate. Everything can then be enjoyed in the store's outside/canopied luncheon area!

Staff of Life is an independent natural food store. They have a well-maintained produce department featuring mostly organic and/or local fruits and vegetables. The meat counter is staffed with experienced butchers and features grass-fed meats and free-range poultry. Staff is friendly and helpful.

If you shop here you will get high-quality real food, not over-processed manufactured products. However, they're not cheap.

I have called Staff my village store forever. Sometimes I run in to grab couple things and cross paths/quick chat to five different people I know. It's locally owned (original owners still rule/now 'aging hippies!) and multicultural, deeply committed to sustainable agriculture and a whole & wholesome non-toxic food supply. They relocated into a larger space a few years back and now have a impressive indoor/outdoor cafe, including community tables. You will see formal and informal meetings happening there all the time. Great place the meet up (and to hear What's Up!)
