Horrible hospital ever! If you can make it to Beaumont, I suggest driving there instead! My husband, friend and I waited 2 hours in the waiting room and when we asked them when my husband would be seen, they kept telling us there's only 4 people ahead. Well after seeing 15 more people be taken back, we finally got to go back ourselves. Once back there, we waited about 45 minutes to even be seen by anyone. They took some blood work and that took 3 hours and 15 minutes to get the results on. The doctor was very weird and seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. After 6 hours in total, they couldn't tell us what was wrong and just sent us home. This isn't the first time I've had problems with wait time and uneducated doctors at this ER. Again, if you can go somewhere else, do it.

I'm not sure why the reviews here are not so good especially about the emergency room. I've been here twice (one time for my son's fish allergy, another for my own high blood pressure). Both times there was no wait, excellent and attentive doctors that followed up with us later. I drove myself with high BP an extra half an hour here from Troy to be seen here specifically. I'm usually the one leaving bad reviews but not this time)).

Every visit has been pretty bad. The staff seems under-trained. Also seems like they don't really care. As a family member was displaying symptoms of a seizure, a nurse continued to ignore us (Even after we said something.) until the family member started to seize.

I've also noticed they'll do anything to discharge someone. (supposedly against the doctors instruction.)
I guess you have to almost die to get their attention.

All in all, unless it's life threatening, I wouldn't go here if I was ever given the choice.

My dad died at the hands of incompetent, negligent doctors. I have started an investigation of his death. I have been in touch with Patient Relations to file a complaint and make this request. Haven't heard a thing from Patient Relations. I guess they are like the rest of the medical staff. They don't care. This is my second posting. The first explained what had happened to him. How he suffered needlessly. If things would have been performed properly and with care, my dad wouldn't have had the second surgery the very next morning which was the beginning of his death. A vein was nicked and wasn't noticed until the next day which required the second surgery. It was all downhill from there. No compassion or sympathy was shown to our grieving family. I have such hatred in my heart. I'm in the medical profession and worked for this hospital. I've never been so ashamed of the errors and lack of communication. Even until this day, his PCP has shown no sympathy to the family. We were left in my dad's to grieve and walked out like we were leaving a losing football game. Alone and grieving. It's sad when you have to find out the reason for his death through the death certificate. I believe it's because they knew they were the cause of my dad's death and wouldn't own up to the negligence. Also, when an investigation is requested, I was told the family will never know the outcome. EXCUSE me???
Those are the rules of the hospital. Horrible experience from day one until my dad's death and now we'll never know if anything will be done to the surgeon responsible and the rest of the staff involved. All we have are my dad's ashes when he should be here celebrating his birthday today with his family. Happy Birthday, Dad. I'm not through fighting for your with this hospital. Please know that. I love you, Dad.

Absolutely the worst hospital in the area. Don't believe me? Check their CMS scores, they are well below the state average in almost every category. Do yourself and family a favor, go to Beaumont or anywhere else.

While we were there, nursing staff isn't responsive/no sense of urgency - hospital is very understaffed
Hospital is a bit outdated and not very clean (the phone didn't even work in the room to order food for my mother). Lack of communication between departments (nurses/doctors/food staff weren't ever aligned on diet or the next steps/exams &results). They also can't even print you any charts or exam results on paper, you have to sign up for an account to view everything online. They simply don't care about you here or make things any easier at a very tough time.
