this is such a terrible place i was going to either move to Ohio or switch schools i hated it so much. i've had experiences with many schools because of moving so much but i can honestly say this is the absolute worst. one word to sum up this place, Racist. the staff doesn't care about you, with the exception of few. they were unapologetic after offending a culture of people at a 'pep' rally where they had a football player dress in a plastic native american headdress and have the other players mock attack him while wearing war helmets. that is disrespectful to native cultures and to the troops. when i voice my opinion and try to find who was responsible for this completely idiotic act, the principle continuously said he was overall responsible but would pass my message along. never once apologizing but instead trying to justify it as a way to get the kids riled- up. none the less, this is not the only offense. Students who are of any ethnicity other than white are targeted and racial profiling is a daily norm. When a white boy is harassing another student in the halls throughout the day, whist the victim walks away each time to avoid him, but acts out in self defense during dismissal. The victim happens to be over 6 feet tall and African american, the issue goes on through out the day but if the roles were reversed it would have been noticed if the victim was the one harassing the smaller student who is white. It hurts me to see someone targeted not once, but time and time again in ways that have ultimately ruined his plans for his future. This is not palmettos finest. This is not a place where people listen to your voice and opinions. This is not a place where people feel safe. This is a place of closed minded, power hungry, fake frontages and i would never wish this upon anyone.

The teachers need to put more effort into teaching students and geting it to stick in there heads so they can pass the EOC and go to College. The coaches are great no problem with them

This place is the reason I contemplate ending it all day in and day out. St James is the primary source of my depression, I don’t even know why I keep showing up how did we even get named “palmettos finest” like nah this schools garbage, the kids, garbage , the rules garbage bathrooms , straight garbage , and to top it all 99.99999% of you hoes ugly. at 16 years old you’d think I’d at least find something worth my time at this sad , pathetic excuse for a school but no Ive wasted hundreds if not thousands of hours of my life trying to explain why this place is miserable but yet it’s been so obvious the whole time. To sum up my experience with the students , the staff, and the general atmosphere of St James high school it’s been miserable. The amount of sorrow displayed here makes me strongly consider running away to the beautiful country of Malta and starting a European rock band consisting of a monkey who plays pots n pans , a drunk who sings the zack and Cody theme song again and again , a man with no will to live who follows us around just to see where the adventure takes us next , and myself. I continue to fail classes here because st James has taught me the true purest meaning of life I can’t bring them up now, there’s just no point.

This school is the root of my depression. There is no legitimate reason as to why they are "palmettos finest" like boi no this school wack. The teachers, wack, the bathrooms, wack, the rules wack. This school is terrible I don't even know why I get up in the morning. I'm not even saying this because I'm a teenager not wanting to go to school, I'm saying this because the school is an actual garbage can. I know for a fact that if I'm still in this school by the age of 16, I'm dropping out and hiding in a cave somewhere in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I don't even care at this point like I'm failing all my classes and I've tried so hard to get my grades back up and it just won't work.

Literally i would rather step on a signed copy of Jerry Signfeilds obiturary than hear "GOOOOOOOD MORNING SAINT JAMES" one more time, I remember one time I wore a shirt with a Orangutan on it and they sent me home for yelling "Tangerines are the best fruit" into the loud speaker.

It's Okay actually. Since I go to school here and have friends here it is chill. Also we have a lot of excellent teachers that is here to help us as students. We have a good source of spirit with our school, anytime a sports game is scheduled everyone in the school get hype and excited.
