The teachers and staff are attentive to the individual needs of my child. Teacher and assistant show genuine care and respect for all their students and others. All the teachers I have met seem happy and comfortable where they are and in their career as a teacher. The office staff is welcoming and most helpful.

I am a rising senior at North Charleston high and student council president. I am a cheerleader and play soccer. Last year was the first year our cheer leading team became an official competition team, winning first place at our first competition. I'm in position to be next year's cheer leading captain of our varsity team. This experience has been great for me teaching me leadership skills, teamwork and reaching goals physically by pushing myself . Our school has open doors for me I never would've seen without their guidance. Guidance from my teachers, administration, principle, and lastly community in schools. The staff at NCHS push you to your limit, not accepting anything less but your best effort. The guidance counselors know your name and your goals, they show you every opportunity to help you stay and improve your path to success. They actually care about your future. All our sports are improving from coaches and better teamwork with our soccer boys and football team making it to playoffs. Our cross country and track team having the best runners in the state, also our wrestling team winning regions. Our band Northside Beats have also been featured in a music video and with Ms.D support they have been to many competitions out of town and bringing back trophies every time. The teachers are greeting and always support you when you need individual help. The upperclassmen give good advice to freshmen who are willing to have open ears. Programs and organizations that are created and offered by our school like, honors society, teach the need, help for haiti, safe club, Cougars newspaper, and sea perch competition improve our student quality. With our guidance counselors and principle I also got my first job through our school creating opportunities for me, and other students.

A North Charleston High School geometry teacher was arrested for a DUI crash on Sunday, August 14, that badly injured a married police officer, who has a young child. Would I send my child to Naughty NCHS where there is no order? No. Principal Grimm Reaper, of the motorcycle crash notoriety, has sent this school spiraling out of control. The test scores are horrid, the sports teams are in the toilet, and there seems to be no morality. In the early 90s, this school was something special, but now the school probably has about one-fifth of the enrollment it had back then, and it can't even handle that.

I dont believe for one that the leaders folk (principal on down) give a cent. Its more like a say good things about n.c.h.s. even though you know it is terrible and degenerate. You know este school will produce more nearby crimes - Montague, Spruill, Park Circle. How many homicides, assaults, and brek ins? Do they even think black live matter? Brain wash the children and then when they bosses visit, do a nod and a wink.

Great people walk into the doors of North Charleston High with dirt on their shoes, in their hearts, and in their minds. Yea, some people get rain and dirt turns into mud Eventually, however - rain cleanses the mess it makes. North Charleston High School has been dragged through the mud, endured the sweat of dedication and tears of starting over. Ok society, shut the hell up. That is enough. Scholarships have been granted and roads paved with gold. Every child is immature coming from middle school - duh. Four years I'll dread leaving behind when I graduate in 2016. Four years that have made me wholesome, sweet, generous, smart, social, great, caring, ambitious, hard-working, persevering, amazing, grateful, thankful, beautiful, leading, Happy, happy, so damn happy and Natrese M. Dorsey. People stop fearing what it is you don't understand and take the chance to learn and grow, just as we have. Because, whether you believe it or not - this is your community, these are your children, your future you drive into the dirt. . Ha.. ha, ha, ha. But still like dust we rise.

I've been to this school since freshman year and its definitely improved. Teachers teach to the best of their abilities and they do everything they can to prepare us for the real world. The students do arrive with immature tendencies, but as time progresses they mature. I can honestly say that this is the only school that I've attended and have not hated.
