I have had a couple of nieces play in the band over the last few years and have noticed the lack of support the band receives from its own school the band is required to be at every home game to support their school but the band receives no support the entrance fee for the games go to the football team there are numerous booths set up to raise money for the football team,drill team, cheerleaders even the wrestling but nothing for the band the band has asked if they could sell something and were told no they didn't want the competition do people know that this band goes to different cities and states to do band completions? band is not easy and its not seasonal they practice all year long and probably more than the football team learning an instrument is not easy and these kids do not get any support or recognition for it in other states band is as big or bigger than football i am disgusted at the lack of support springville high band receives from its own school!
