The staff at this facility is amazing, very helpful and courteous especially Brittany. They really do treat you as family and the hotel is clean with excellent breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The hotel itself was very nice. The problem I had was the next morning (Sunday). It was not yet 10am and they ran out of waffle mix. I watched a lady literally turn the container upside down to get the last. Several people wanted a waffle as well. She told a guest no she was not putting more in because it was almost quitting time.
The server began cleaning up, scraping the last of the eggs so no one could get anymore, piling up 2 plates with the remaining sausage, which by the way the young man working with didn't know the difference between pork and turkey sausage, causing people to spit out what they heard was pork. I walked over to the young lady to ask her for her name, she refused to tell me. From that point, I was done. I walked just walked away. I've never seen such disrespect to customers at a hotel.
The people who work at the desk are top in service and treat you as family not a stranger. It's clean & comfortable. Alex and Michelle were so kind to me as I am handicap and they made sure my needs had been met and treated me with the up most respect. We will be back as well as recommend your Hotel. Thank you for a great stay. Sincerely Josephine
Nice employees. Nice room layouts; I want to use for our apartment design. Traditional Marriott free breakfast - for purists, just note they use powdered eggs and molded bacon strips (i.e., not cut from the animal), but there's plenty of options. Stained carpets in the rooms. Some of the mattresses need to be turned over more often.
Clean, but could use some updating and new beds. The beds were pretty terrible. Takes away from a nice vacation. Staff was great though.
Clean & updated. The suite that we had was very nice! Staff was pleasant & accommodating. Breakfast, included, was fresh & really tasty. Plenty of free parking & lot was easy to access. This hotel has an indoor hot tub & pool, which was welcomed after a long day walking in DC. This hotel is 10 min from the King St Metro Station. We had a very pleasant experience!
Great place to stay if you are visiting Washington DC. They have shuttle service to Metro station. The rooms are very nice and the service is also very good. Excellent hot breakfast served in the morning. They have pool and hot tub too. We had a great time staying here with kids.
Springhill suites is Awesome! The location is greatclose to metro and not far from downtown also lots of places nearby to eat or shop. The rooms are spacious and very clean! Service was amazingI can't say enough how great they have been. We are enjoying our stay so much.
Room clean comfortable. Staff friendly and very helpful.
An absolutely horrible experience. It started out well, the rooms were pretty and it was a nice end to a good day. However, I was sharing a room with three other girls, one who is handicapped, and the service for her was a nightmare. The shower seat was hardly stable and when we set it down it came out from the wall. The room we were put up in was on the second floor, even though the hotel knew that she was handicapped. This posed an even bigger problem when an alarm was set off and had it not been for the firefighters, she wouldn't have made it out in time. We stayed outside for around a half an hour and were only then notified of what had happened. It turns out, someone smelled something strange and called the fire department, as you should. The staff was all notified of this, they neglected to tell 100+ guests of the situation. Leading us to believe this was extremely serious, not just a random smell. As people were rushing out in obvious panic, the staff was laughing. It's sick that people were laughing at children and adults being terrified of losing their lives. Maybe next time you should direct your guests out instead of laughing and saying,"Yeah run faster guys!" This staff disgusted me. What if something actually ended up being wrong, which luckily it didnt. The staff should always treat situations like this with compassion. At the end of the night, there was a problem with the elevators. When someone went to ask about them, the staff brushed them off and said they would be fixed sometime around the next day. What was the problem? The fact that my roommate couldn't get up to her room! Of course the staff was told that this was unacceptable and they ended up fixing it reluctantly. Petty complaints? No soap and the shower was broken. Please, do not stay here.
Large room, decent breakfast, and good location. It is fairly easy to hear other people in the nearby rooms though. Otherwise, excellent place!
We checked in on Friday evening and we were greeted pleasantly. I had requested a room on the quiet side (back) of the building, but that did not happen. We were put on the fourth floor which we had requested and as it turned out, the room was relatively quiet except for the fire trucks. We really liked the set up of the room and found it to be very clean. HOWEVER, the big complaint is the breakfast area. It is cramped and if you sit at a table in the middle, you will not be able to get out without disturbing other people. Also, the tables were not cleaned when someone got up and left, yet there were employees standing around and saying good morning. There was no orange juice in the machine, but one day they did have a jug of juice, but the next day was Sunny D (which is not orange juice, but an orange drink). There is not much choice (only 2) of actual cereals (I do not consider granola a cereal) and both cereals are sugar filled (Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops). The eggs were hot and there are a good choice of breads. There is only 1 waffle maker and there was quite a wait. The hotel should be able to judge the number of people who are staying and plan accordingly. We would stay here again because it is convenient to where our son lives.
First I reserved a king size room They didn't have it available. It was weird, their "1st" floor is really the basement. The food was good. The reason I gave it such a low score is because the room had 0 humidity, I woke up each morning barely able to talk. Also the heat did not work adequately, it was around 68 in the room, and I had the room temperature set at 78I thought I booked the Springhill Eisenhower That one is much better, I will definitely not stay at this one again.
