Wonderfuluntil that park ranger I love Spring Mountain Ranch and we do a lot of photo sessions there — a lot of people do. It’s beautiful there. However, our last outing was ruined by a female park ranger named “Tori” or however she spells her name. I felt like we had a shadow wherever we went. We were on the trails when she rudely tells us to stop taking pictures and head back to the picnic area. The trails didn’t close until 4:30, we had every right to walk along the trail. It’s a park that we drove all the way down to enjoy and we weren’t trashing anything—that park ranger needs to let people enjoy themselves.

The place is no question gorgeous and unique, but the ranger is far too annoying. He kept on checking on us every hour or so to inquire whether our dogs are on the leash, which they were. We are a group of adults. Do not need to be controlled while relaxing at the park. Totally uncomfortable!

Nice state park with a lot of history. A little ways out but worth the trip for a nice afternoon.

Nice park. Attended the outdoor play. Was quite a distance to walk if you're disabled, but it was nice and had restrooms

It was so fun. Such a beautiful place. This is somewhere I like to come and enjoy with my family. The only thing that bothered me was the lady who collected my fee to enter the park when it was free fee day.

Such a beautiful, historic place within a short drive from Las Vegas. Absolutely gorgeous scenery and the events held there are top notch.

A Wonderful State Park just minutes from Red Rock National Park offering a beautiful view of the Mountains framed by spacious lush green grass and shady trees. Went for the day and found a large grassy area to fly our kites and RC Cars. They have a Summer theatre for evening plays and shows. Also have a lake with an island several trails from beginner to expert loop through the State Park. Please note it is a State Park so does not allow access with the National Park Pass.

Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is an historic park with historical events, hiking, night hikes, free yoga, etc. Check their website to find events you would love for you and your family. These pics from Joshua Tree Night Hike! Educational and fun hike. Loved it all!

Great Nevada history! The entrance fee is a little steep but you can scarcely find a better place in Vegas for a picnic on the grass!

Great place to take a family for a picnic. The trails are short and well maintained for little ones. The grassy area is nice to let the kids run around. You may see some ranch animals running around. We even saw a roadrunner.
