Neat little stop. Read the sign to learn how to do it. If you go while its raining you can also see the rain flowing in thme wrong direction.
Don't drive out of your way to see this but if you're in the area that's the fun especially visiting Bok Tower down the street
Really good for kids they will be amaze by the Spook Hill Legend ❤️
The hill does what i says it will do, Its located in a beautiful hilly part of florida. A great little stop to make if your in the area. All these people leaving bad reviews complaining that its a hill and that "its a joke" are ridiculous. Its called Spook HILL! Of course its a hill, it most certainly works and you do appear to roll backwards up hill. This is called an optical illusion, no one is claiming there are real ghosts and that you really roll up hill. Its a slice of old florida, an oddball stop to visit and make a memory. No one is forcing anyone to go so theres no need to leave a 1 star review and say "its a hill". If you went to Spook HILL and got upset because its a Hill then you deserve to be dissapointed.
I've been here several times and my car has never rolled forward it always rolls back. The last stupid time I tried a gathering of "brahs"
were half a block a way clearly talking amongst themselves whether
to jack us or not. Not spooky not fun. Just mildly dangerous since
the area's gone "downhill." A total waste of time.
Driving east to west and back and forth on State Road 60, I’ve had the opportunity to drive through Lake Wales, Florida, on occasion. When doing so, I’ve frequently stopped at Spook Hill, a popular gravity hill located on a significant range of sand and limestone hills. When parked in neutral “on the white line,” your car will appear to “roll up” the spooky hill while actually moving in reverse.
More about the story than the actual experience, my kids and their friends enjoy it. Not something I would drive out of my way to visit, Spook Hills is a fun 30 or so minute distraction while driving through Lake Wales. An off-beat and fun attraction, it’s free, you can take a few photos, and the kids will talk about it for hours. I often find myself riding the white line 3 or 4 times for the benefit of the kids.
Spook Hill is located directly across the street from Spook Hill Elementary School, which conveniently adopted “Casper the Friendly Ghost” as their school mascot. In this day and age of “political correctness,” I’m surprised no one has forced a name change of this attraction.

There is no gravity nor anything else good on this. There is a sign by the road saying: "stop car on white line, place in neutral and let it roll back". Of course if you put your car on neutral on a hill it will row back. Different would be if you put your car on parking and it would go back. Don't fall for this lie and don't waste your time. Simply disappointing.
That a lie! A big fat lie! I drove 2 hours to get here and there is no anti gravity hill. It's a lie!
Don't waste your time coming here on this spook hill of this creepy city!
I thought there was more to it definitely make other plans if you're going to be making more than a 30 minute drive
If you like finding unusual local attractions it is worth stopping if your in the area. Wouldn't go to far out of the way to go here though. Very anticlimactic.
