Barrelhouse 101 is a tradition for us anytime we visit our family in the area. Great craft beer selection and the food is spot on. I highly recommend the steak wedge salad.

Shockingly bad table management. Arrived at 5pm with a party of 7. Told to expect 15 minute wait. Forty minutes later, no table available so we left without being seated. Hostess was extremely apologetic, but manager refused to do anything to help expedite and was rude and dismissive about suggestions to remedy the delay. Strongly caution against this place as we were accommodated at another competitor restaurant without incident.

I have been going here for years! The food is great and the beer is great, with one of the best selections around. Unfortunately within the last year or two the service has gone way down. It took 10 minutes to seat us with a lot of empty tables around, another 15 for a server to ask us for our drink order, and another 15-20 to take our food order.

I really like this place but the more times I go and are disappointed with the service, the harder it is to keep calling this one of my favorite places in Ventura.

Stopped in for a burger and a brew will my girlfriend. The burger was beyond expectations and the beer selection was incredible. The staff was very knowledgeable about the beer selection and was able to make several very good recommendations as well as provide a detailed description of the differences. Will go back again.

Great beer, but the 101 beers are organized very poorly on the menu. I asked for a saison recommendation and even the waitress had to go ask around to figure out where their one saison was on the menu (it's #101 and delicious, highly recommend).

Very friendly staff! Dog-friendly covered patio. Family-friendly place.

Food was decent, but not cooked as ordered. If you ask me how I want my burger prepared, and I say "medium," then I expect it to be cooked that way, not beyond well done. If your cooks aren't trained well enough to prepare a burger as ordered, then don't ask your customers how they like their burger prepared. That just sets you up for failure and disappointment.

As you can see from the picture, my burger was clearly hastily thrown together too. Leaning tower of burger?

Ingenious menu! Delicious food and out of this world beer selection. Beer shake is fabulous, truthfully I had already picked out dessert before my main course or flight of beer.

Stopped by for lunch, Father's Day 2017. The had a promo going so I ended up with some cool beer swag.
They've added to the food menu since my last visit -lots of good choices now. I got the blue cheese burger and fries with a flight of beers. Excellent!

Some of the best service and food in Ventura. The thing I love the most is the service. They are so on it that it's crazy. Thank you very much Barrel House! The beers are good with a huge selection and the burgers are excellent tasting with awesome prep. Sucks they took the wing challenge away.

What's not to like about about 101 draft beer selections. Plus the recommendations about what to choose are excellent and helpful. The food is really great too, but its not for calorie counters, at least not the stuff I was eating. A really fun place. Get someone else to drive.

Awesome Happy Hour.
We came here to celebtate our Anniversary. Jade was our server, and she was great too! She was friendly, helpful, and happy to give suggestions.
The onion rings are HUGE, and the Strawbanero sauce is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!

Checked this place out for the first time on a Friday afternoon. Our waitress was fantastic, the wings were delicious and the beer was superb. If you're there for the beer experience, I highly recommend doing a flight. If you enjoy lighter beers then try the Island Brewing Company Avocado Honey Ale. Going to come here more often!
