Even after being aquired by Landmark Theaters, the parent company has been careful to preserve the 'neighborhood and independent feel' of this theater that features indie and wide release movies.

I love Spectrum and its charm and character. I gave it a 4 because some of their foods and beverages are waay over priced, even for a movie theater. A bottle of water is $4! Movie tickets are less expensive than a larger one.

It's such a blessing when you have a movie theater that shows independent and limited-release movies. I moved from Albany a year ago, and the Spectrum was one of the best things about the city. I really miss having an alternative to the predictable mainstream Hollywood blockbusters that keep rehashing the same plots and formulas. I loved this place.

Small local theatre with a good selection of movies with very comfortable seating. Love the street that's it's on. Close to a ice cream parlor and bunch of local restaurants

Absolutely the best place to see cinema in the Capital District. Period. Best and most eclectic films. Great management and staff. Amazing locally made snacks. Wonderful tea and coffee. Nothing else like it.

Take a step back in time when it was an intimate experience to go to the theatres and there were employees at every station. The seating was just right with plenty of legroom. Not overcrowded like you see with the bigger theatres. I will definitely go back and invite all my friends and family members to visit this gem.

Love this modest little theater. This has been our first choice theater for decades. Here we find the better hit movies but also the best foreign or special films not offered in the malls. Prices are better. Popcorn is the best and the snack bar offers cake and brownies as well as candy.

Anything to support a local business, I'm down for. And this theater is no different. Amazing selection of movies, and always so clean and calm. None of the frenzy like the other brand theaters. Two thumbs way up for this theater.

Always some unusual films, very pleasant environment, kind and helpful staff, good volume (not deafening), with just the right number of previews (not too many). Brownies or cake and coffee along with popcorn options. Appreciated as a very different place than the local movieplex.

The Spectrum is a great place to watch a movie. If You want a good cup of Coffee, a slice of Cake, real butter on Your Popcorn at a reasonable price, come here. The Staff of The Spectrum are friendly and value Thier Customers. Don't pay high prices for poor service and a chain that doesn't value You.

Thank you so much for keeping the Spectrum format. We could use another bathroom or two though. Popcorn is great and the people that work there are quite interesting; it adds to to the ambiance. I love talking to them about the movies. The place is really charming and I hope it continues to thrive. I like when they have the filmmakers there; adds to the class. Thanks so much for being in the neighborhood.
