Food was really good. Space a little tight but the atmosphere was laid back and warm. I love the the honey glaze for the fried chicken and the catfish fingers were awesome!

First time experience was an excellent takeout meal for two. The chicken-n-Red velvet waffles were amazing and cooked to perfect. My husband had a two pics chicken dinner (fried) w/ cabbage and corn which was also delicious. The peach cobbler could definitely use more crust and less juicethe crust is the BEST part!

The blackened chicken was SO tender and juicy. The house potatoes were definitely a little greasy, but omg they were incredible. The fried okra was also delicious. The cornbread is homemade and tasty. We got the fried green tomatoes for a starter and they had a tiny bit of a kick to them, which I enjoyed. Essentially, everything was freaking delicious.

Service was good. He mumbled a little but was polite and checked on us frequently. They seem to be super open to takeout orders which I'll keep in mind for lunch. We will definitely be back!

Never even had a chance to eat here. I placed an order the other day for the first time and after I was told my total I asked for directions to the establishment as I'm from out of state. I was told" to google it because we kind of busy right now" so shocked I hung up on him. Why give you my money if u can't even give me directions. Slept on it and was still mad the next day so I called the owner. The owner justified with his employee actions and said that they were in fact busy but that that would never happen again. I decided to give them a try again today as I live 2 mins away to only find out that they blocked my phone number . I called from my work phone and they answered I called private and they answered but when I called from my cell the phone automatically hung up 😂 . I try to support black owned businesses but we can't seem to get it together so ✌🏾

Chicken was dry and over cooked. Mac and cheese did not have much cheese. They had no money to give change so I had to put on a credit card. The only good thing was the soul rolls. Will not be going back can get better chicken at KFC.

Ordered a chicken and waffle meal to go, it didn't come with syrup and the food was individualized. Talk to the manager about the issue she said she would have a fresh order waiting for me once I come back. Went to get my order and realized the chicken that I ate off of was placed back in my new container with the half ate Mac and cheese in another slot. I spent 20.00 on something that they placed in the microwave and wrapped it in a new bag to make me think that my order was fresher as promised.

I had the soul rolls, fried green tomatoes, and bread pudding. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Their hot sauce is awesome. Tasted my sister's order of shrimp and grit -- it was great too. I loved the service and the meal, and can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Service was stellar and the food was very good!!! Excellent Gumbo with fried okra and brimming with sausage. The soul rolls are super yummy and the fish sandwiches me and my sister ate were delicious and excellently seasoned. Only downside the red beans and rice were soupy and bitter and the bread pudding was way over sweet and kinda cold in the center. Otherwise a really great meal.

The absolute best soul food in Cleveland. The gumbo is authentic and savory. Reminds me of my Creole aunt's recipe. Chicken is perfection!! Fish is light and well seasoned. Not greasy. Collard greens are like mom makes them - not sweet or watery. Cooked and seasoned properly.

I hope they survive and don't close.
