I enjoyed the classic Southern dishes, but I can't say that anything blew me away. Appetizers were good. I had the fried chicken entree which was just average. I had two bourbon cocktails which were far sweeter than I would have expected for the types of drinks they were. This place was recommended highly to me, but I was not wowed. It was good - just not off the charts, best of Yelp good Maybe I had a bad experience since I've only been once and people rave about this place.

Descent food and service but definitely no where near a 4.5 star restaurant. Don't get fooled by the other ratings. The food is very average and nothing to crave for or say ill return because of. Just descent for a quick lunch. Plus parking near restaurant is an extra 10 or 12 dollars so prepare for that unless you can find street parking.

My chicken and waffles were awesome. My son's fish and chips was great. My wife was not crazy about her food, which was cold the first time, and our other son was not crazy about the breakfast sandwich. But, that chicken and waffles was awesome!!

A little pricey, but there is great food and beverage to be had here! Their shrimp and grits and pork chops are excellent, and if you order them you will NOT be disappointed. Their crab bisque is wonderful, as well!

Visiting Atlanta fried chicken and grits feels like a must have! South City Midtown delivered an upscale version of this classic dish!! Their signature drink menu was on point too! Staff was friendly, courteous and very attentive! Will definitely be back!

The best fried chicken ever! This is a must stop if you're in midtown Atlanta. Great southern style food and pretty healthy. I'll definitely be back.

Not your normal down home coming. Very elegant presentation. Venue was very interesting being a converted older home. Waiter was amazing, friendly, made suggestions on food and places to see. Would definitely recommend.

Great food. Excellent service. Lovely ambience. Good choice for a lunch. Gets very busy with the office lunch crowd (including out-of-town people who are coming with their suitcases to tuck in a meal before their flights). The corn bread (which looks like muffins, and is served complimentary) is great, and the white butter served with it is out of the world. They make their own peach juice which is used for their Bellini drinks (mixed with champagne) - its a hidden gem for weekdays. The Bellinis are not in the normal menu and are there only on Sundays, but are served on other days upon request.

Visited for the first time during lunch. Excellent variety of dishes, many gluten free or able to be modified for gluten free! Had the chicken salad which came served on a bed of greens with toasted hazelnuts, shaved radishes and an awesome vinaigrette dressing. My companion had the toasted turkey sandwich with house chips. Both our meals were delicious, service was impeccable. Very busy, may want to make a reservation to make sure you can get as table.

This is one of my top favorite restaurants in the US now. The fries green tomatoes were to die for. Sweet Tea - amazing! We had the shrimp and grits and fried chicken. They split it onto two plates and we were stuffed! The staff are very attentive, nice and quick. Dress is casual business and it is for sure a nice experience! Will be going back next time in town.

Came here for a Saturday brunch, 6 of us, we places reservations online for 11am and we were sat right away. The place is decorated with antique mariner materials. It's really different and really cool.
The menu if phenomenal. Very creative and I love a creative chef. Our server was really attentive and we ordered a mix of alcohol and non alcoholic beverages and they were brought out immediately. The drinks for a group are brought out in a silver punch bowl!!
It was awesome.
I ordered the scallops on cauliflower grits. They were so so good. Our server was given a huge table and we didn't see him again. The manager and another server helped us, and it was clunky. Our after dinner drinks were served incorrectly, but they were taken off our bill.
Lure is underrated. Folks aren't flocking there for brunch and that's OK with me. There won't be a wait.
I do need to mention the dessert. Caramel and peanut butter ice cream with homemade Twix bars!!!response / report this review -

I came here with a party of 14 and had an exceptional experience. We were served by Pablo who went above and beyond in all ways. The food - starting with the complimentary corn bread and biscuits through other local, southern dishes was enjoyed by all. They worked with the vegetarians at the table to make sure everyone was satisfied. Look forward to visiting again. Ask for Pablo!

Hands down this place has the BEST chick and waffles entree ever. The fried chicken is not only crisp and crunchy, but it is seasoned impeccably and extremely moist on the inside. While the waffles are golden brown and firm. The syrup is even nice and sweet, compliments the fried chicken exceptionally well. However, there are three different menus depending on the time of day, so make sure if you're coming here to check the menus based on that concept.

We were visiting for a conference and the staff and facilities were excellent! The spa is beautiful and coupled with a nice steam room that all people who are hotel guests can use. Jonathan was incredibly helpful with giving us advice on what to do and we couldn't believe that we had our own personal driver within a 5 k

Great food and great service! We called at lunch Friday and got a 7p reservation for that night. The atmosphere is upscale and fun, with an open kitchen concept that is really cool. The specialty cocktails were super tasty, and the fired green tomatoes are amazing! Our group had the chicken (which is their most popular dish and it was worth the hype), the pork chop, rabbit pasta, and trout. Everything was delicious and perfectly portioned. Our server was attentive and made great recommendations. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Atlanta!
