The Renovation is absolutely amazing. The sound was already superb but is even better. Nice bathrooms. Smoking patio. The new double sided bar is just pefect. They even lowered the floor in front of the stage for better viewing. The piece that's most incredible is the staff. From the doorman who has been there forever to every bartender. They all make you feel special. Don't change a thingwe'll be back.
Wow! First time back since the reno. They did a great job opening up the space and adding full service bars on both levels. They also kept the standing areas on the sides odd the main level and upfront.
Stayed upstairs for the Gin Blossoms show. The railing kinda messes with your line of sight and is hard to see over the row in front of you. Recommend staying downstairs. Servers at the bar were great. Good selection of canned beers (tallboys).
One of the better venues in the ATL.
Excellent Venue that is the right size to give you that personal feel and connection to the artist. There is comfortable seating on the upper and lower levels and plenty of standing room too. The acoustics were good and the venue had a bar that served beer, wine, and spirits that could be consumed at your seat while enjoying the show. During brief stints of down time and change-over, the smokers could access a side door that is specifically dedicated for smokers only. The restrooms are small. The capacity is listed at 1,000.
Great space that was much bigger than I expected. It would be nice if they had signs that listed their drink prices. I got a double well tequila and soda and it cost sixteen dollars. I definitely wouldn't have ordered that if I had known. I was already in a good mood though so I wasn't too upset!
Very nice inside. The air conditioning works which is a plus and the bathrooms are clean. Drinks are not recommended at this venue but you can always drink at the Portor before your show starts.
Great place to see a show. Most shows are general admission, so if you get there early enough, you will snag a great spot to see the concert. Located in the very ecletic Little Five Points neighborhood.
The recent remodel has really made a difference in your concert experience. The bars are easily accessible, the center seating is nice. I love the dancing space provided on either side of the seated area. The balcony is Magnificent, with seating, dancing area AND a bar. Thank you Variety for investing so much into your venue. Money well spent.
I've been to many shows here over the 20-plus years I've lived in Atlanta. The recent renovation looks great and I really enjoyed the last show I saw here. If you love live music, keep your eye on their calendar since they always have great national acts coming through.
Remodeled theater makes a great music venue. Acoustics are good and there is not a bad seat in the house. Full service bar with pretty quick service. Parking is convenient (we parked right out back), lots of places to eat within walking distance. Had a great time at the Tab Benoit show!
Fun and semi-intimate venue for plays and musicals artists. The bar has a nice selection. Street parking is free on Sundays.
Awesome concert venue. Great acoustics and easy to see at any spot in the house. Nice bar with very friendly help. In a great neighborhood and they bring in excellent acts at very reasonable prices. Well done!!!
Atlanta cultural landmark. Unbelievable great bands. The best of the best live music acts come through here. It can get crowded and sometimes oversold. Try to get here about a half hour before the show to get a good seat. It was recently renovated and the new bar setup is quite nice. The bathrooms were improved and the drink selection was enhanced. But beware of the crowds. Get here early.
The Variety is an outstanding venue. They recently remodeled and managed to keep all of the old charm. It's in the heart of L5P so if you're driving, get there early to get a good parking space. There are a number of good restaurants for before and after the show.
One of the best concert venues I've ever been to! Prices were fair, and it's in the great Little Five Points neighborhood in Atlanta, so it's fun and safe to visit at night. Took my son to see the mighty Galactic. Seating was simple. Bar was great. Sound system was top notch. Absolutely cannot wait to catch another show here!
