This is a great place to buy a bike! I test rode four bikes and Mike patiently answered questions about each bike. All of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. When Mike was busy with another customer, Tom came over and answered my questions. I never felt rushed or any pressure to buy. I'm so happy with my new Blix electric bike and I'm very glad I bought it here!

After having a horrible buying experience at a dealer 3 miles from my home (they are in Bound Brook, NJ), I decided to cancel my order for 2 bikes, 1 Giant Hybrid and 1 Liv as well as some accessories and go to Sourland Cycles in Hopewell, NJ. Sourland Cycles is 35 miles from my home, worth the trip without question.

Initially I spoke to Laura on the phone, which made me comfortable that this dealer offered much better customer service than my local dealer. We took the trip to Hopewell and met Adam (I hope I got your name right as we were never officially introduced) and Colin, they were very attentive and knowledgeable which meant a lot to us, having had such a horrible experience from the local dealer.

We placed our order on Saturday and I received a call Tuesday evening that the bikes were in and assembled, ready to be picked up (nice touch, the previous dealer didn't call me a week after I placed my order, I called them, they said they would call me back and still haven't.)

Yesterday, Wednesday I went to pick up our bikes, Adam greeted me and mentioned he raised the handlebars, because he remembered we liked to sit up a little more erect while riding, I really appreciated that extra attention. Mike gave us a couple water bottles as a thank you for the purchase, very nice touch and helped me load the bikes into my SUV.

This was such a great buying experience and high level of customer service, that I/we will never go anywhere else for my/our cycling needs.

    Thank you all.

    Alan

PS Fyi, we did ride them last night and we were very very happy with them.

I stopped in today for my first visit, about 20 minutes before closing, looking for road shoes I needed the day before my vacation. They were fairly busy so they didn't get to me for 10-15min, but they didn't rush me and answered all of my questions. It was a good bit after closing when I made my choice and they still installed the speedplay cleats onto the shoes and greased my pedals for me. Very nice guys and a beautiful shop. I will definitely go there again.

    Not for this beginner
Drove two hours had terrible experience wanted to buy a Pedigo Electric Bike .
Told the boy I hadn't ridden a bike in many years walked me across the street for test drive he was not as forthcoming as I was and just put the bike on power and I was smashed into the blacktop then the second try he changed the seat because I told him I felt like the bike did not fit me asked him to make it into just a bike without power went around and because of the seat which turned sideways and was too high I crashed down into the pavement again..was getting nothing from the young man I begged both times for him to stop pulling on the bike and to help me up.he never reacted I came home with bruises on my hip and ankle and no skin left on the knee my stomach has the bruised imprint of the handlebar.he never showed any concern or even if I was okay to get to my car.I am 65 told him I had not ridden a bike in two decades and had a learning curve the bike is over sixty pounds.
He should have turned it over to someone who knew the bike and who could help someone who truly wanted to learn how to ride not crash and burn an electric bike
Shocked at the whole thing could hardly walk these next days.Once again cannot tell you how distant this boy was.Wow !

have tried to get help from them, they dont want to put the time in to build new customers. i asked for new end caps on a hub, he told me it couldnt be done, claimed they dont make 15mm road axles, and said i should just get a new wheel. he didnt know what kind of wheel i had so how did he know it would be cheaper or it couldnt be done? second time ive tried to deal with them and 2nd time ive gotten the feeling of my business not being wanted

This was an awesome experience to have with Michael Gray and the bike shop from the moment I came in to inquire about a racing bike. He was the most helpful and patient guy you want to deal with. He knows bikes quite well and is very helpful explaining what is what. I recommend the shop to any one in search of a good bike and service both before the purchase and after. there just isn't another customer service oriented shop I have experienced better than Sourland cycles. they have an array of bikes for every activity from novice to racer. they fit you and assist along the way.

A friendly staff who is always ready to welcome you at the store. It doesn't matter if you are an experienced cyclist or just looking for a bike to have fun, they will help you find the best bike according to your needs. An other asset of the shop is that they also have a special section for women (bikes and gear). Don't hesitate to visit, as they say, this is a different kind of bike shop!!!

Thank you Sourland Cycles, I am an extremely happy customer.
