This is a must-visit Cleveland eatery! It has been around forever, and you will often see three generations sitting at the same table enjoying their food. Get there early or late on Friday or Saturday night, because the lines you will face during "rush" hour for dinner are INSANE. That's not a huge surprise, because the food is AMAZING. Best perogies in Cleveland, bar none! Everything is made with love and obviously with family recipes. I've yet to be disappointed with anything I've tried here.

Don't expect anything fancy - this is a cafeteria-style restaurant, but with much better food than you'd expect from one! Everyone is dressed down and enjoying their food and drinks. The walls are covered with pictures of famous people who have eaten there and figures from Cleveland sports history.

The wait staff will help seat your party once you make it through the cafeteria line, and if you like piano music make sure to ask for the back room with the piano. This is especially nice if you like Christmas Carols, because that's pretty exclusively what is played in December.

A 94 year old Awesome restaurant! We got there just before they closed Lunch at 3PM, and asked them if we could eat - they said Sure - the food line is still up for 6 minutes, but after that, you can take all the time you want to dine! Very nice people! We had the Sauteed Pierogi, which I've never had before - it was perfectly delicious! Also great was the Kielbasa and the Cabbage! If I lived in Cleveland, I would be hitting this place several times a week! The pictures on the wall and the history of the place - Fascinating!

Been here a couple times. We have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is excellent and service is good. My friend got here for first time and he was not sure what to order. People there were very helpful in explaining their menu. The food was pretty good and have a variety of them to choose..

Amazing food. Favorite restaurant in town. Wonderful Eastern European food with rotating menu. Desserts are to die for and the selection of European beers is delicious. This place feels like you are walking into Grandmas kitchen where you know the food is always good the the people and atmosphere are always pleasant. Please guys don’t ever change.

Nice feel of old Cleveland. Best view of Cleveland perfect for a back drop. Had corned beef, real mashed potatoes brown gravy. All deserts made fresh. I was hesitant on cafeteria style but it worked out for the best. Get there at 11am if you want lunch because you will be waiting ant noon. Busy as heck with judge portions.

Good stuff. Very filling and homey. The schnitzel was not pounded and after sitting in a steam tray, also not crispy. Tasted good though. Huge portions!

After 47 years, finally made our first visit. Over did it and loved every second of the experience. Pierogies, smoked sausage, potato pancakes, rice pudding We loved everything. It reminded me of my grandmother's kitchen.

We had seen this on food channel a couple of times and wanted to go there for awhile .cool old place. Great employees! Loved the piano player at lunch. Food a little tasteless, very heavy on grease. Large potions. We had stuffed cabbages, pierogies, pork schnitzel, red cabbage, it was a let down we were disappointed. Maybe we ordered the wrong items or they were having a bad day. After a 50 minute drive there not so sure we would go back.

Best food choices, best desserts! Be sure to get there earlyThere can be a line. Cafeteria styleMake your choices (dessert first!), choose your beverage and if you need help someone will take your tray to the table. Best to be there at 11am or 4pm when they first open. They also have a bar. Walls are covered in photos.

Heads up if you have never been here before! The serving style is much like a cafeteria. You get a tray and walk down the line picking and choosing what you would like to eat. The good news is the food is amazing! It is comfort food and definitely fills you up! If I am in the area again, I'll go back for sure.
