Pretty neat place! Stylish meals, pretty decent prices. Nice for a romantic dinner. It has a nice view outside. The staff here is quite friendly too. Will visit again.
This place is horrible. Feel bad for the owners. Service was rude, food was cold and pretty awful. Chicken fingers were over cooked, fries were cold, wings were cold, 4 tiny wings for 6.99 are you effin me? 7-11 has better wings. Beer tasted like they haven't cleaned their tap lines in for ever.
Place destroyed my butt/guts. I suspect it will soon be going out of business or people will be losing their jobs, bottom line Costco offers better stuff for free samples. save your money. Don't go here unless you want a bad case of the poops and heartburn
We came around 15:30 on October 7 in the middle of the annual Dungeness Crab Festival. The hostess explained the place was not accepting any food orders due to kitchen crew being short-staffed, but they allowed us in since we implored we'll order only specialty coffee. She shooed away every other person after us, yet didn't put a closed sign to the establishment. This is strange because half of the tables and booths on the first floor were empty albeit the detriment of closing off serious customers.
We literally sat in the restaurant for 55 minutes waiting for the waitress to take our orders but she was laughing, having conversations with the not too busy kitchen staff. I know this because our booth is right by the kitchen and I literally stood up and peeked every 5 minutes. I didn't see existing customers in the other tables being served; they were having conversations waiting on their food or having conversations with empty plates. Zero turnover of other tables during the entire stay.
In the end, my party of 3 just stood up and left without a word. No service/goods = zero tip; we didn't bother lodging a complaint due to our hour of free sheltering from the wind and rain while waiting for the next Coho ferry departure. Unsure if the staff didn't notice we left or simply don't care; their loss for not getting a cent from us.
Is it a seafood place or a sports bar?
First of all, it's grossly overpriced. $18 got me two medium pieces of overcooked breaded halibut (it should not feel like chicken in my mouth), a small rounded scoop of cole slaw, and small handful of French fries. The seafood platter my boyfriend got was $25. The calamari was mostly breading, the cod was frozen (or just old), and the muscles were like goo coated in breading. Don't waste your money. Go somewhere worth spending good money. We won't be back.
Okay for lunch although not cheap. Fish sandwich very decent, clam chowder was as well. Service friendly.
Nice bar atmosphere. Clean decent food. Good local draft beer selection.
We tried to eat here at 7 o'clock on a Saturday night. We entered the restaurant and were greeted with a sign that said the downstairs dining room was closed and to seat yourself upstairs. We went upstairs and were told that they weren't taking any more tables. Huh? No explanation, not a great vibe from a place that the balls to charge $5.99 for some sweet potato fries.
Great food! I had the coconut prawns and they were wonderful. They were huge as well. First time eating prawns and I was impressed. Great food, great service, great location
Came here for breakfast to watch Wimbledon at 6:30 am. They have 2 large TV's. Veggie omelette was hearty and included broccoli and zucchini. No fresh fruit available as a side - only wheat toast (probably not whole wheat, as it looked very white). Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Service sux we were there March 30th 2017 to have lunch, we try to eat at all restaurants in our area. This one sent everyone in our party to the hospital with food poisoning. The bartender/waiter was slow and did not ask us if we wanted anything to drink all we got was water, he was to busy talking to regular customers at the bar. For the money they ask for the food you think they would at least try to be nice. We told the waiter that the crab cakes were bad he commenced arguing with me about how he eats them all the time and something must be wrong with us. He took them off the check without being asked to and then ask what my wife's problem was. Tried to tip him even after the bad experience, I was told it was not enough and I should keep it, I left it on the bar and left, oh and ordered a happy hour coconut shrimp which says half a dozen and only got 5. When that was brought to his attention on the way out so it would not happen to another customer he got smart wirh me and said to sit down and he would make us ONE shrimp. I will tell everyone I talk to to never go there
Fast service and good food, very good at getting you in and out while waiting for the ferry. Very nice staff.
Despite some previous reviews, we enjoyed it. Upscale bar food. Friendly service. Fresh food. Delicious fries- good lord the fries were good
Would go again
The restaurant was half empty, but the staff behaved as if they were slammed with customers. The tables were not getting bused and the head waiter was rude. I had a cod sandwich and fries. The sandwich was alright and the fries were very greasy. My friend had steamed clams, being promised a full pound. A pound of shells! The pieces of clam inside each were 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch. Each meal cost $12.99. We could have had better at a fast food joint for half the cost!
Passing through with our little dog on our way to Victoria. We found the Smugglers Landing excellent food , and very dog friendly. The staff is top notch and the food is excellent. I recommend the fish sandwich and the seafood salad. We were here three times on 3 different days. Breakfast , lunch and dinner Just an excellent experience and meal every time.
