Some of the freshest seafood around. Restaurant is tiny, if I happened to be on the bigger/heavier side, I would probably be a bit uncomfortable with how close things are. Very simple, not dressy in any way and fresh seafood prices are in range. Average dish is around $22, some things less and some up to 40 or so. We go every time my parents come into town.

Delicious seafood at a reasonable price. They offer fresh, local fish entrèe prepare grilled, blackened or fried. Wine and beer are very reasonably priced. The restaurant decor is Spartan, but the food is absolutely delicious! No reservations, expect 20 - 30 minutes wait for dinner seatings.

Great food and really good service. The shrimp is the freshest I have had by far. Recommend the crunchy grouperwell worth the extra buck. The home made key lime pie for $2.95 is a steal.

Such quaint seafood retail and retail shop! Been open since the 1960’s! The atmosphere and seafood I have to say being a local is the best! If your visiting Fort Myers this is one of the stops you need to visit, and plus it doesn’t have the beach traffic. :D

So I get here at 7:30. I’m solo. I’m told 25 minutes for a seat. Not bad. 40 minutes later, after the rush from everybody’s pager going off at the same time due to low batteries, I’m brought to my table. After 20 minutes sitting at my table I get a waitress. I ask for the all you can eat snow crab legs and she looks at me and says, “we close in 30 minutes”.

Wow.

I look at her and say I can leave if you want and come back another day. She says they won’t have all you can eat until Sunday. No big deal. I say I can come back Sunday. She says it’s real busy then too. Is she telling me to not come back at all?

Pretty lousy service. I hope this isn’t the only place in the area that serves crab legs!

The shrimp were huge with a great flavormy only complaint was the batter used to fry them. It was a little too salty, it almost burned my mouth. I had the regular fried shrimp and the Cajun fried shrimp.
We got an order of hushpuppies for the tableOH MY GOODNESS!!! You must try those!! They were sweet with a small kick and soft and warm inside with a wonderful crunchy outside!
I tried the fried clam strips from another plate and they were great. Chewy but not tough and crunchy coating.
All in all I would eat here again when traveling through.

This place doesn't really have the looks as in fancy but they have some amazing food at very reasonable prices. They also have all you can eat crab legs during the week. Their smoked salmon was out of this world great!! Their buffalo shrimp wad great too!!

Great food, dive atmosphere. Fish market both local and import. Get the 1/2 pound shrimp spicy - you will not need sides. But if you want them, they're great too.

Best hole in wall! Fresh seafood! Great place to eat off-season. I've eaten at a lot of seafood places. Hands down well worth the look.

Skip One is fantastic! I buy my fresh seafood from them, as often times, their seafood comes straight from their boats. I've eaten at the restaurant as well, and likewise, the food has always been excellent. Sometimes the wait can be long - but, that's to be expected when you visit such a popular hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's a must-try if you come to town!

My wife and I are seafood lovers. We try different places for establishment, presentation, food quality and price. Our 1st impression was the restaurant used 1970s wobbly table and chairs. Then the menus are sticky with way overpriced items. Our waitress never told her name and said " what it be!" When we ordered is was slow to get the food, served on cheap whit plastic plates and tiny portions for a $14.00 meal. The 4 scallops were rubbery at a price of $11.50. We informed the waitress the tasteless scallops and she left then came with our Check and left. We shared a dinner plus scallops and 2 drinks come to $44.00 at a rundown messy place. We ate at Blue Point oyster Bar and Bone Fish Grill with larger portions, tastier foods , great cocktails and more elegant setting at the same price of this place. Skip One has a great website of fresh seafood but no photos of the inside and portions that show the truth. Other seafood restaurants serve fresh seafood as well. Skip One talk too much deliver little to none! We will never come back!

Hard to believe it took us 3 1/2 years of us living here to find this great place. Lots of fried seafood but other cooking options as well. If you are looking for linen table cloth atmosphere don't go to Skip Ones, if you are impatient and need to get to a table right away then don't go to Skip Ones. However if you are looking for friendly waitstaff and really really good food then take the time to stop and enjoy every bite. Fried clams, fried oysters, fried shrimp, fried scallops and fried grouper are the choices we had and it was all fresh and battered to ordered. The clam chowder was thick and creamy and very tasty. We can't wait to get this place added to our calendar of future places to eat at.
