  Very bad empanadas super grease. Not expended your money there. Current price for malta is $4 this is crazy. You can expense a lot money and not good produced before this experience i buy son epitome and i fund a black part. I check the bag and was expire 4 months ago. I call and they said sorry. Not even intentionally to do something to get me back to the store.

  This place is not only cozy in a rustic way, their owners really make you feel valued and very well served. It's a great environment, the food (Venezuelan) is super well made. You get the good service, the nice treatment, complete portions full of flavor I wish I could come here more often but I live in DC. Butt Bug surprise, finally around October - November they will be in DC 14th st with L st I believe. For me that's very good news..

  Hole in the wall, off the beaten path, and yet absolutely amazing. Their kindness, attention to detail, and amazing food have me continuously going back. Every Saturday they have empanadas to buy. During the week you can call ahead and see if they can make you Venezuelan specialties (arepas, cachapas, empanadas, tequeños, and more!) Their store offers frozen bulk items and other speciality items from Venezuela. If you are looking for something to reminisce over as a Venezuelan or as a gift for one this is the place to go. Their sister business is Arepa Zone based out of DC (in union market, also a food truck).

  Can't say enough good things about this place. Good food and great atmosphere with the Venezuelan community. If stop here get the tequenos. Trust me.

  Les voy a dar 2 estrellas por el curioso momento que me sucedió en su tienda. Resulta que había ordenado unas empanadas de cazón ya que solamente como pescado y la chica que está encargada me confirma mi orden y le recordé dos veces ya que estaban preparándolas, de repente llega una pareja con sus hijos y sale el dueño del local a saludarlos, entonces escucho a la vendedora diciéndole a la ayudante "y las últimas 4 empanadas de cazón son para ellos" entiéndanse el grupo que llegó después de yo haber llegado , yo un poco dudosa le pregunto a la chica " recuerda que dos empanadas de cazón son para mi ya que solo como pescado" a lo que ella responde:" Disculpa es que no te escuche" -En lo que dije dentro de mi, NO ME EsCUCHÓ?! Si se lo repetí dos veces!!? fue evidente el trato preferencial por parte de ella en darle mi orden a la pareja que llegó después,.así que no solo quedé sin desayuno si no con mucha frustración. Con todo respeto eso no refleja un buen servicio, porque igual soy una clienta y merezco el mismo respeto que se merecían "los amigos" :entonces de pasar a desayunar rico y pasarla bien pasó a ser un momento incomodo y de muy mal gusto. La comida es deliciosa pero el servicio es pésimo.

  Comida Venezolana autentica.authentic Venezuelan food. The empanadas are the best, Las mejores empanadas, arepas, and tequeños. Can't wait to go back and try everything else.
