Lower price and 10 times better than all of its competition in the area, plus with friendlier staff. The other kebab place on Mineola Ave charges 20% more for bland-tasting food, yet always has more customers, which really confuses me. I've travelled the world and Shish Kebab Grill is still the best chicken gyro I've ever had.

TOTAL CARELESS MANAGEMENT!!! We were so frequent costumers of Shish Kebab Grill that we ordered sometimes twice a week, or at least, in scarcer months twice a month. Despite their Uncle Ben's Rice in their Kebab platters. But on a cold post-snow night, when it was crucial to get a good service and a warm meal, their driver mixed up at least, 3 orders, ours went somewhere else, and we got a huge order, which we called to return, we were honest!! The driver left saying he'd bring back our dinner. But minutes turned into a half hour, then 40 min., we called the driver several times and the restaurant to get our order. It never came, and when I tried to speak to the owner, he couldn't care less that by now it was almost 2 hrs. since we placed our order, that we had been kind to call and return a larger order, that we were left without a dinner, and hungrier. Do you think they apologized? Do you think he'd listen to me for 2 min. before interrupting me? Do you think he tried to get prompt service and correct all mistakes? NO, he didn't apologize, he interrupted, he hung up on me, he cancelled the order as if we weren't hungry and didn't wait for almost 2 hrs. to eat as if we weren't regular costumers, loyal costumers since they opened and we ate there on location a few times!! The only thing memorable is the humus, it was delicious, we'll miss it, but we'll never order again from a person who doesn't assume responsibility over their business' poor service and completely disappointing fiasco!! We were powerless to take any action, he didn't care. I guess you people are calling too much and allowing for them to exchange and cool your warm dinners This grill is not that special for such a loyalty! Nitalis in Glen Cove, has a similar menu, identical taste in several dishes, and competitive prices! Some lower!

We love this place. The Iskandar kebab platter is by far the favorite of both my wife and me. It is the spinning lamb meat, a flavorful tomato paste, pita pieces, and white sauce. Your order comes with a really great and fairly large side salad. Each order is enough food for 2 very filling meals. We ordered delivery at 740pm on a saturday, and the delivery guy was at my house 21 minutes after i called (i checked the timestamp on the phone call i made to place the order)!! Wow! We are huge fans!

Best Turkish food. The most authentic tasting food with the right herbs and spices. Kofte kebab is the best in N.Y.area. I should know, I was born in Turkey.
