Casual sit down mexican restaurant. A full bar. Free chips and salsa when you sit down, that comes with two types of salsa a mild (red) and a spicy (green sauce). The lunch special includes a flavored tea, a meal item from their lunch menu, and then a fruit paleta. The soups on the lunch menu are good, the salads are all good. I have not had a bad meal and I have been over 10 times.

Limited options but very good food. The corn tortilla chips that they serve complimentary tastes amazing.
The decor and ambience of the whole place is soothing. The blue and white pottery appeals to the eye. The service was prompt for the occasion.
I tried the fish and it tasted really good.
    We enjoyed the drinks too.

This is one of my favorite restaurants for Mexican cuisine! The food is delicious. I especially love the Snapper. The waiter staff are wonderful, caring and efficient. They make you feel so welcomed! Their Margaritas are delicious and their "ABUELITA" dessert is sinfully delicious. Typically the wait time is minimal and I love their REWARDS program. Points build up fast giving you great savings!!!!

Good service and very good food. It was also less expensive then we expected from the quality of the menu. I recommend people to bring their ID if they wanna have a drink. Being European and 30 I am not used to be asked for an ID anymore and forgot to bring mine, so I couldn’t have an alcoholic beverage due to their policy. On the other hand it made us discover their cilantro drink which was fantastic. So no regret!

They have great guacamole and tacos and I adore their cocktail presentation, but I would not call this the most memorable restaurant ever.

    Fantastico!

Great spot! The chemistry was sensational with a very nice mix of guests. The setting is terrific. As for service, we were looked after by the very capable Vanessa. Excellent hospitality!

We enjoyed the guacamole. Outstanding! Their blue chips were excellent, too. Everything we ordered was great. Their margaritas are 5 stars, the tacos carnitas were off the charts, and their tortilla soup was phenomenal. All around, the menu (all that we ordered/tried) was simply outstanding.

    Looking forward to returning soon

Talavera is a great place for drinks and appetizers--but I'm honestly not a huge fan of their entree options. I've found that their tacos are fairly bland and dry and lack a variety of flavors and textures. In the few times I've ordered them, I've had to add a lot of salsa to give the meat any real flavor. The enchiladas are pretty good and typically seasoned really well.

If you love margaritas as much as I do, then you'll probably just want to take a seat at the bar and order yourself an appetizer to munch on. They have a lot of interesting flavor combinations for their margaritas. The drinks are typically strong and their staff are always enthusiastic and welcoming.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. The service is always great. The margaritas are delish:) the guacamole is authentic and served with 2 little pork rinds that tasty if you like them. The fish is always fresh and grilled to perfection. The tacos taste just like they do at the Mexican street corner vendors in D.F. Not to be missed if you enjoy real Mexican food.

Upscale traditional Mexican food. The margaritas at happy hour were phenomenal. I had the house made guacamole, cilantro soup, and carne asada. I felt everything was tasty. The salsa was a little bland but decent. Great place for after work cocktails, romantic dates, or just a nice dinner.

The most authentic and greatest of Mexican restaurants in Miami. awesome traditional selections with incredible food. The staff is as friendly as can be and do speak English very well. The Mariachi band that preforms on some evenings is an awesome experience that brightens your day up. A must visit place.
