I just recently had a surprise engagement at Shelton Vineyards and it was an amazing experience. My original engagement venue fell through and I called and spoke with Danielle Davis and she was able to accommodate us the next day! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect experience. Linda was also a great host and tour guide. The entire Shelton Vineyards staff made this an unforgettable engagement. We will definitely be back, and I would highly recommend this establishment for an engagement, tour and tasting or event.

Me and my girlfriend have not yet had the chance to visit Shelton Vineyards but, I would like to thank those of you who respected and gave accurate reviews. It is a shame to see a few upset truckers (which not all truckers are bad or terrible people) try to make this place sound unpleasant. I hope we will get to visit soon and form our own opinions! And read all the reviews!

The staff at Shelton was helpful and pleasant and went above and beyond in helping me replace a set of our favorite wine glasses. Such a delightful place!

With 15 minutes left and several wines to taste we were rushed and basically told we needed to hurry up so they could close. Very unhappy with the customer service.

Had a great time! Linda was very helpful in the tasting room. Don't look at the bad reviews as virtually all are from truckers with a strange parking beef with the owners. The wines are very good as is the tasting room service.

I had a wonderful time with my daughter doing a wine tasting. I must say the BlackBerry wine is delicious along with several others. Everyone who spoke with us were just lovely.

We enjoyed a very nice tour and tasting at the Shelton Vineyards, so we recommend the venue.

We are sorry to read about the immature truckers who troll the review sites to trash the vineyard merely because the vineyard owners asked the authorities to enforce the law on vehicle parking along the highways. Maybe those drivers wished to ignore the intimidating effect that their rigs imposed on potential vineyard tourists.

Perhaps the angry trolls should lobby their legislators, as responsible citizens do when they disagree with the statutes. Laws should work for the common good, rather than insulating commercial drivers from the lodging costs that we regular citizens incur during travel.

And kudos to the many courteous commercial drivers who contribute to our economy and responsibly observe the statutes!

This is a beautiful place to visit. We always eat at the Harvest Grill. Everyone is very friendly and the wine is great. Walking around the lake is great especially after the meal. This is a very excellent one day trip for the Triad folks.

Our server Abbie was absolutely the best! We did the "Reserve tasting" and it was well worth the $25. The fruit and cheese tray was very appetizing and eye appealing. Nice stop over if in the area.

A North Carolina Highway Patrol crackdown last year on truckers parked on ramps – resulting in more than 400 issued tickets – was prompted by a large political donor who complained to the governor about "unsightly" tractor-trailers parked along I-77. The donor and his brother own a winery that is 3.3 miles from exit 93 on I-77. They also own a hotel adjacent to the exit.

Read more at about this truck hating winery at:

Great to know you hate trucks, Charlie and Ed Shelton. Imagine a police officer knocking on your bedroom window at 3 am to ticket you for parking your vehicle on the street in front of your house. Truck drivers park on ramps because they are subject to federal laws regarding hours of service, and there is a lack of available truck parking nationwide. I find it appalling that your winery supports ticketing the men and women who keep groceries delivered to your local store, who spend days away from home to make an honest living, who do one of the most thankless jobs in this country.

    For shame, Shelton Vineyards.
